Weather Channel

Do you sit and watch the weather channel during major weather events? And then sit and wonder why on EARTH these people would risk the lives of their reporters to be in the midst of that? Now, I know that it is their job to report such things, but if I was standing in winds that were whipping things in my direction, I sure think that I would seek other job opportunities.... just an observation.

But then again, when I was younger, lol, I would have been the first one right there in the eye of it all, DOES THIS MEAN I AM GETTING OLD?

Good question! I think I would like to be out in it for that scare and adreneline rush alone. It would probably get old after about five minutes and I'd be begging to go back home!!

The weather channel is now saying, "we were there for you during Charley, we were there for you during Frances and we will be there for you during Ivan.


When you watch these guys, they always tell you where their camera men are and they are safe behind a building, etc. I wonder if anything would bad ever happen if they would let us know.

My opinion of the weather channel, I love the channel, I think of them as my friends, always there, always live and I can almost name 20 of them, scary huh!

DH and I watch Weather Channel often. Sorry, but we roll our eyes over how dramatic they attempt to be. You'll hear them comment how bad conditions are and that it's dangerous to be out in the weather and the background will often show families walking by smiling and waving or it will show a palm tree ruffling in the breeze..... not ever a really hard wind. You other folks must be seeing things that we're missing.

When Frances was being covered, the one girl who was down in I think it was Key West? She was being chased by parts of a roof. She was RUNNING from it and they were STILL filming.... um, what is wrong with this picture?

you know them OhMari? tell them to get their butts back where it is safer
