Weather between late April-mid May

Can anyone tell me what the weather (average temperatures and rain frequency) seems to be in late April through mid May? I'm highly considering booking my trip somewhere in between that time frame for 2018 since it seems like a nice low crowd time frame. Thanks

We've been between the April and early May for the last 3 years. It's usually low to mid 80's during the day and in the 70's at night. I get cold easily and some nights I wore a light sweater. I only remember it raining this year (we went late May this year) and if it did rain in early May it was just a quick shower on one or two days. Overall, it's usually a beautiful time to be in Disney and the weather is one of the main reasons I picked our Disney wedding date to be April 28th of 2018

Starts getting hot but its a pretty dry time of year.

I went the first week of May 2016. One rain all day day, one thunderstorm rain out evening (MSEP was cancelled), and the rest of the week was gorgeous sunny skies with high 80s to low 90s during the day.

My experience was pretty similar. We were there for a week and had one rainy morning (it cleared up by late morning), one day that was just this side of uncomfortably hot but still bearable, and the rest were beautiful. Sunny and very warm but not humid.

We were there in 2014 for Mother's Day. The weather was pretty good... one rainy morning, two afternoon storms, but didn't last long. Some days were pretty hot, but bearable. Crowds were very manageable.

Been twice during that time. Both times were very different.

First time- not hot but warm. Some cooler than normal days. A few days with a mid-day rain shower.

Second time- it was HOT!! Same exact week. Rained almost every day/afternoon. Stormed also. Did I say it was HOT??

As with any Florida season except the middle of summer, it can vary. Be prepared for anything.

We went a couple of years ago (2015?) for a week that covered end of April/beginning of May and there was a huge rain storm right after we landed that set the tone for the week. I think we had 1 or 2 days out of a week where it didn't rain at all, and another 1 or 2 where we had heavy rain all day, and then a few with a mix of sun and heavy rain. Worst trip we've had out of the 6 times we've gone in the last 14 years because of the rain. I think the temps were fairly standard for May - highs in the high 80s and lows in the 70s but mainly just recall the rain. I'm ok with, and sort of expect, the typical Florida weather where you get an afternoon storm that clears out, but we just had bands and bands of rain for hours on end.

We loved early May 2015 when we went. Beautiful sunny skies everyday, 80's no humidity. We've done Sept many times and after this trip probably matching the permanent switch due to better weather and low crowds.

That was our experience when we visited during the second week of May. Temps were in the mid-90s the entire week. Thankfully the full humidity of summer hadn't set in yet, but the sun was sooo intense, making the days blisteringly HOT!

What about love bugs? Are they awful if you plan a lot of pool time? I think I read somewhere to avoid wearing white at the pool?

That was our experience when we visited during the second week of May. Temps were in the mid-90s the entire week. Thankfully the full humidity of summer hadn't set in yet, but the sun was sooo intense, making the days blisteringly HOT!

This was our experience also. Last week of April and first week of May, 95 degrees almost every single day.

Been during this time the last four years (about 40-50 total days). It's hot. Really hot. Except for two days on our last trip, the rain wasn't bothersome. Blew in and then right back out quickly.

We had gorgeous, warm, dry weather in mid-April this year.

Hotter than hades. We went the first week of May some years ago (maybe 8 yrs?) and it was upper 90's to low 100's the entire week. One day it was up to 108 in the parking lot. So.darn.hot

We were also there the 2nd week of May this year. I have to be honest and say I wasn’t expecting it to be quite so hot. The humidity was way better than summer though, I’ve been there in August before and May is much better in that regard.

Was it the very 1st week in May, like after Spring Break was over? We went in mid April this year and it was so crowded. Well more crowded then we are used to. We go the end of Aug or beginning of Sept. It rains but we love being able to just walk on the rides.
