Weather better late June or late August?

We went in the first week of June 3 years ago. It was supposed to be less crowded the first week than it is the rest of June. I don't know if that is true or not, it seemed very crowded. Plus, it was unbearably hot and humid and no rain the entire 4 days we were there. I prayed for rain, but no relief came. What happened to "It rains every day in Florida." Of all the parks, MK seemed to be the worst for the heat. The wait line areas had very little shade.

Now, having said that, we are going again in June - 18th-24th. I know, I know, we must be crazy. But this time we know what to expect and we are doing things differently. Staying at the Poly so we can go back to the hotel mid-day to cool off. Staying longer so we can enjoy the parks at our leisure rather than racing through them like we were in a marathon. The magic of Disney is so alluring that you tend to forget the negative experiences. Whatever you decide, have a great time.

my sentiments exactly...going june 16-23rd...I know it will be hot..went in august twice. have gone several times so like you don't want to do the marathon.
hoping this trip we slow it down a pace or two.
like to walk around and just soak all the goodness around me

we are staying at CR and then over to BWV

hope you enjoy!
and I am actually hoping for no rain
I hate rain
don't care what anyone else says
it puts a damper on things

We've been in mid-August twice now...'03 and '04. From about the 13-21(or so) It was hot/humid in '03 but nothing we couldn't handle. So, we went back in '04....us and Hurricane Charley!!! It wasn't so much the heat at that point, it was the humidity that went along with the storms!!! It drained us by about 4:00 every day. As far as crowds go....both times it was relatively crowded. '03 was crowded but I think that was due to the great package that Disney had offered. Then last summer, with the hurricane coming the same day we arrived, we found there were a lot of locals in the parks as soon as the roads were cleared since they didn't have school. So, we had about 2 days of peace before the Florida kids started coming in droves.

We would go again in August I'm sure. This year we're giving mid-June a shot.

Well, just to put in another word...we have always gone in mid-August, starting when our kids were 8 and 5. I think the lack of crowds more than makes up for the extra few degrees and humidity.

We're going in Mid August this year. I am looking for the lack of crowds.. please let it be! LOL. We go August 14th-19th. Is there that much difference in the number of people from the first two weeks in August.... and the last two? Thanks!
