I cannot for the life of me remember what the temps. were like in the evening last Sept.!!!!

Can anybody help, please.....trying to get packed and I'm unsure about what we'll be needing. :confused3

Same as it is during the day....hot....just hot without the sun beating right down on top of you like an oven. :sunny:

Yep ... You sure won't need a jacket for evenings in September; probably not October, either.

Last September it was really really hot even at night. I am hoping that it isn't as bad this year. *fingers crossed*

I found the nights to be even worse than the days. It seemed the humidity was much worse at night. I remember sitting waiting for Fantasmic just dying. A nice guy in the row in front of us had gone up to get some beverages for his family and got me a water bottle because he said 'I looked like I needed it'.

August and September have the most humid, muggy & buggy nights in FL. October is the transition month, when the humidity will start to decrease and the temps will also start to cool down a bit, especially at night. The cold fronts start to make their way through sometime in October.

We have had the occasional trip in September though where the humidity was actually down. This actually happened when there was a hurricane off the coast sucking in all of the yucky weather leaving us with unusually gorgious September weather.

Bring a lightweight jacket for night time. Lightweight pants aren't a bad idea either (if anything they help protect you from the mosquitos). If you don't need it for cool evening weather, you might need it for when the rains come and temps temporarily drop or for going in and out of the A/C especially when it rains.

:thumbsup2 Thanks so much everybody!!! I thought I remember it still being hot at night but just wanted to be sure!!!

But at least you get a break from the sun beating down on you. Florida is hot. :sunny: Definately won't need a sweater.

Have a great time!!

Just back , it rained at 4pm like a clock. I thought the eve. were cooler than days, and more comfortable. No sweater for me but some people did have them on.

I forgot how humid it is down home. Urgg. that is why we don't come back until the snow flies here.

I find this to be true at times in Florida.

Just count on being warm. If you want a wee bit of assurance, pack a wind breaker just in case. But I'll be willing to bet, you won't use it, unless it's for being in some AC after a rain storm.

So, shorts and stuff still okay at night, yes?? :confused3

I would say so. We will be there on the 16th, and shorts and T-shirts will be in our cases. But we are coming from south Florida.

But do bring your ponchos, there's a "wave" sitting here right now so it's raining alot. Even if the wave moves on, there is a good chance of those afternoon thunderstorms.

The only place I get cold, is in the A/C after getting wet.

Thanks for the advice!! I'll pack plenty of $store ponchos!!! :thumbsup2

Not much rain at night, right? :confused3

I'm heading down in a few days, and I'm bringing shorts and light capris for the nights.

I find the afternoon storms make the hot-broiler-type-setting-on-your-oven heat during the day feel more like a sauna that fogs up your glasses in the evenings. It really doesn't "cool things off" in my opinion. Just a different type of hot.

Unless you go into a freezing restaurant or store at night, I don't think you'll need a jacket.
