Haven't even gone on this year's DVC trip yet, and I'm already dreaming of next year's possibilities! I'm thinking about HH in March, but I'm wondering what typical temps would be for that time of year. Warm enough to enjoy swimming, etc.?

I do that all the time too. Try this site, it will give you average temps around the country based on city. I use it all the time when planning vacations. www.weather.yahoo.com

Last year we visited HH the last week in March. The beginning of the week was windy and on the cool side , but towards the end of our stay it became warm. At this time of year it is better than home.

March weather should be in the 70's. This will be warm enough for a dolphin cruise, but you need a light jacket or windbreaker. Water is still cool, but warm enough to walk the beach barefooted and kick the water.

Not related to weather but still important is that in the early evenings the March we were there, the "no-see-ums" came out. Make sure you have insect repellant if you plan to be out. These little critters are nasty.

I also have the average temps posted on my site.

I live in Savannah which is about 30 minutes south of HIlton Head. The weather varies quite a bit in March. Usually it starts to warm up before St. Patrick's Day, but we always get a cold spell at some point in the month. We are having it now. It got down to 30 degrees last night. But it will be 60 by this afternoon. Last week we hit 80. Once the weather warms up, the gnats come out. But if you are by the beach, the wind keeps them away. Hope this helps some.
