Ok, I have no been up here on the boards in a while and to my surprise there are so many categories now, I did not know where to put this so I am trying here... but if there is a better place let me know.

My DH's company did pay cuts that resulted in several extra days off. They have to be used in Jan 2010 - Mar 2010. We are thinking of taking the kids to FW. But, we have never been to FL during that time of the year. So, can someone tell me what kind of weather we would run into in FL that time of year?

Also, I checked and Disney has not posted the hours of operation for that time of year. Does anyone know how late they are typically open? Do they even do night parades at that time of year?

Since we would be camping we don't want to travel from OH and find that the weather is such that we don't want to bike or hike or anything else... so all your information would be helpful...

I live about 90 miles West of WDW, and we visit WDW often in Jan., Feb. and March. Occasionally, you will have a cold day or two in there, but generally, you can get by with a heavy sweatshirt. A lot of days in that time frame are absolutely gorgeous. Sunny, warm, low humidity. You get the picture.

I remember camping on a MLK weekend, and being in shorts and a t-shirt the whole time-never needed a jacket or even a sweatshirt all weekend. Another year, same weekend, it went down to freezing one night. You just never know. But, even if a cold front blows through, it won't hang around for long.

As far as park hours are concerned, in the recent past, they do close the parks a little earlier in the winter than they do in the summer, but since it's by far less crowded, that is not a problem. As far as I know, there are still night parades, fireworks, etc. in the winter. This year could be different, because it has been really slow at the parks. They may reduce hours and shows as a cost savings measure.

We went 2 years ago during the first week in March. It was beautiful! 75 to 80 degrees during the day, low 60's at night. Perfect weather in my opinion! The kids swam in the pool, we wore t-shirts and shorts every day and just thew on a sweatshirt at night.
