Hi All

The wife and i are going to be taking our first trip to our DVC
From november 11 -december 02 2010 and wonder what i should expect for weather and crowds across the parks and the resorts?

Im from the uk,and we dont celebrate thanksgiving in the uk,im looking forward to celebrating it on my trip, can we have some ideas on where to eat,on or off resort?
and what i must try for thanksgiving(food) :-)

Any info would be great

Cheers

Hmmmm well we'll be arriving just about the same time, but we leave on the 15th...wish I was staying till Dec 2!!! :worship: Anyway, since you'll be arriving on the last weekend of the Food & Wine festival at Epcot, you'll have to check that out. Lots of yummy food kiosks set up about the park. As for crowds...that weekend at Epcot should be busy, and Thanksgiving week will be crowded, but otherwise it shouldn't be too bad. Weather will be warm but not blazing hot.

A nice place to have Thanksgiving dinner might be Liberty Tree Tavern at MK since they have all the traditional fixin's of turkey, gravy, stuffing & potatoes. A favorite restaurant of ours is the California Grill atop the Contemporary. A nice place to have dinner & then watch Wishes from their observation deck.

Have fun!

IMO, November is an excellent time to go as the weather is perfect. We find we need sweatshirts in the early morning/evenings but continue to wear shorts throughout the day. Crowds will be heavier during Thanksgiving week but should lighten after. It's one of our favorite times to go. Enjoy!

I have been there over Thanksgiving the last 6 years and have weeks when the temp has been in the 70s and weeks when the temp never reached 60 with morning temps in the 30s. Mornings and evenings will always be a bit cool.
You never know what your going to get weather wise.
Crowds shouldn't be all that bad except for Thanksgiving week which can get a bit crowded.
Get your ADRs ASAP especially for Thanksgiving week

First of all Happy 4th of July to all

And thank you for posting, great info

novembers along time off,so we've booked a long weekend at disneyland paris for the end of august, that should break up the time till november

once again thanks so much for posting

Most of the restaurants will offer a Thanksgiving option on their menu. So if you want turkey, you might find it in many different shape and forms.

We've done the Captains Grill at the YC (they usually have a buffet, but get an early ADR - the last time we ate there for Thanksgiving, they ran out of food and were severely limiting the guests later on in the day). One year they had a buffet at the YC Convention center and that one was excellent.
