Weather and crowds first week in June?

It starts to get pretty crowded since most of the southern schools are out by then. It's hot, muggy with afternoon showers that can linger.

The crowds are manageable during this time. We found a bigger change at mid-June with the crowds since all the schools are out by then. The temperatures are hot and muggy and bring your ponchos daily or you can be sure to get caught in a downpour if you forgot your ponco that day!

Just get there early, if possible and do fast pass if the lines are too long and take a break in the late afternoon when the temperatures are unbearable in the pool. We tried to stay all day a few days and the 3pm-5pm time was terrible with heat intensity.

May, June, July, August, September = hot & humid. Humidity almost unbearable after an afternoon shower. Unlike living in the north (I'm originally from Pittsburgh) an afternoon shower would 'cool' things off in the north but here in FL, it just makes it hotter!

oh & schools let out for summer on May 21st here in Jacksonville & I have found quite a few other counties in FL just before Memorial Day as well.

June 10-17 2003 Crowds were very managable. Did everything we wanted with extra time to do favorites two or three times. Left park every afternoon and came back early evenings. Rain almost every afternoon. Only one time it interferred with touring, around 90 degrees everyday. I would go in June again.
