Thanks to the Disney VIsa, we're going to be at WDW Jan 5-9 and just wondering if the crowds die down a good bit then, and if we need much warm weather clothing.

hello

we have gone twice in Jan- usually around the 11th- the crowds are very low - which is fantastic!! but the weather can be iffy- one day it was 78 degrees and the next day it was in the low 40's= one year we wore our winter coats and hats, gloves.... to the parks- you just have to be prepared and dress in layers- if it warms up you can peel off all those hot clothes

have a great time!!

I second what the other poster said. The crowds are great--practically nonexistent. But you'll need to be prepared for any kind of weather. The key is to pack things to layer. We found it to be cold in the morning, warms up nicely for the afternoon and then cold again at night. We all brought fleece jackets that worked out well (t-shirt, sweatshirt, fleece jacket--then we could just peel things off).

Have a great time!

AJB---

We'll be there from the 1/6-1/14. So we're also hoping the weather is good. DGM is a little worried that it will be TOO cold to do anything. My motto is "roll with it!" First time I was at WDW I couldn't believe that people put on ponchos and kept going in the rain! It starts raining at 6flags and people scramble for cover and leave the park in DROVES!!! I've learned you just dress warmer or colder and go in with the attitude that no matter what, you are at the happiest place on earth!!

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!!:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Two years ago we went from the 10-14 and the weather was great. We wore sweatshirts over t-shirts and shorts or capris and then just took off layers.

We are going to be in WDW this January from the 10-17 and are hoping the weather is the same. I don't think there is any better time to go as far as the crowds are concerned. We never waited in line for a ride once!!:D

The Farmer's Almanac said this winter was supposed to be warmer. Cross your fingers!;)
