Hi.Arriving in WDW on 10/7/17. Weather reports show higher humidity than we've experienced prior. Our son is asthmatic. Any advice on actual weather conditions now would help in determining if we need to cancel.

Yes, he will probably be affected. We just got back and my kids' allergies and asthma were insane while we were there. It is humid as heck right now as well. We did bring inhalers and that seemed to work ok, but if it's a really bad case I'd hold off until November or later.

Thank you so much for the heads up. Greatly appreciated! I'm hoping I can cancel. Thanks again

What is the age of your son? My daughter has asthma. We live in a very humid part of the country. We actually have more problems when it gets dryer out. I don't think one month would make a difference. Is your child on a nebiulizer, inhailer? We get more reactions from hotel rooms. Good luck asthma is no fun!

We’ve been here a week. Maybe because I’m so used to humidity being from NC, it hasn’t seemed bad at all.

Hi. Yes I believe we need to extend more than a month based upon this present weather, probably mid December. We carry our nebulizer, inhalers etc, yet he reacts terribly in high humidity and actually shows improvements in dry air. Yes, asthma is no fun. Thank you

Did not vote as there was no middle ground. As being from deep south, yes, the humidity levels can stay very high until Nov. sometimes can be sporadically bad even then. It would be bearable for me, but with an asthmatic child, it might be unbearable - only you can really know what is acceptable. :goodvibes

Hi, I live here (80 miles west of WDW) with adult asthma. Early October is really still summer here. The humidity never really starts to break until late October/November.
It's not as hot usually as the days are getting shorter but it's still in the high 80's low 90's with overnights in the 70's. We don't really have a "fall" season here.
If you are from an especially dry climate, he will probably have some problems. If you aren't, then he maybe ok. I would try to do more inside things during the day that supply AC. Mornings are always a bit more humid than later in the day. It usually starts to burn up a bit around 10 am. Rope drop days could present an issue.
There is also a storm brewing in the gulf (it's not predicted to come here) that will bring our humidity/moisture levels up on 10/7 -10/8. 70% chance of rain on Sunday the 8th.
