Hi All,
Well, we are suppose to leave from NJ at 3:00 tomorrow morning.

I don't know what to do. With the weather from NJ through NC being what it is, do you think I should wait until later in the morning say 9:00??

My husband wants to cancel, thinks it is too risky with children driving in this weather.

I'm so upset!!!!!

Forgot, was wondering if there are any MD or DC folks out here.

I will be traveling 95S through that messy area DC 495S to catch 95s again.

Any thoughts about tonight and tomorrow morning there?

I'm in Ashburn, west of DC near Dulles Airport. It is messy out there today. I wouldn't have come to work if I didn't have 4 wheel drive and was more than the 10 mins away than I am. If this turns out to be a typical DC storm, however, it should be okay by tomorrow. Sounds like it is going to stop sometime this afternoon and that will give the crews (and the traffic) time to get the roads clear and dry. The only time it doesn't clear within 24 hours is when we have more than a foot of snow and we are not due to get that. Not sure what the situation is in North Carolina. They need the temperature to go up to melt the ice. I don't know if that is due to happen.

I'm in the Richmond VA area and I95 is clear. You should be fine unless we get more ice/snow tonight.

Be careful and have a good trip!!!
