Wearing scrub tops with dress pants?

I know I shouldn't laugh but a friend of mine just told me that she has been trying out her new scrub tops by wearing them to the grocery store & Walmart. She is wearing them with dress pants & dress shoes. It's not like she is stopping off & shopping on her way home from work. She just graduated as an RN in May & is waiting to get a job. I guess she is more excited about the scrub tops than work.

Just seems funny to me. I've been a nurse for 4 years & have never woke up on y day off & thought of putting on a scrub top & dress pants to go shopping.

So, any nurses wearing their scrubs on their days off?

Good God No!!!!! I wear my scrubs to work and that is it. I already feel like I spend half my life in what amounts to pajamas. I'm certainly not wearing them on my off days.

Sounds like the combo I saw at the mall yesterday--dressy, dressy blouse with a scarf, Addias sweatpants (with 3 white stripes down the side) and heals. I just couldn't figure out the outfit for the life of me. At least with scrub top/dress pants I could figure it was a dr or nurse that got something on their top at work but the dress shirt/sweatpants thing just didn't fit-especially when you add the heals.

Same here. Who wears dress pants to shop unless you are over 70?

Uh--No.

I really can't even stand stopping at the grocery in my scrubs.

Although, some of the scrub tops, I've seen lately, they are much dressier than they used to be...But still...have to go w/ a No.

I have been tempted to do the opposite.....wear my very comfortable Cherokee scrub bottoms with a regular top, especially on an airplane as the lack of a zipper makes them so comfortable for sitting.

However, they came out with yoga pants so my temptation was overcome!
