Do you think it would be in poor taste for my son to wear his Spongebob Squarepants shirt on a disney cruise. I do have one or two disney shirts, but he likes nickelodeon stuff too! Any comments?
When we were at WDW about five years ago, my DH wore a Looney Tunes shirt into the park. A CM playfully gave him an international no symbol (red circle with slash) sticker to wear.
Thank you. See, I was wondering because I know that nick films a live show at universal studios (Slimetime Live). I would imagine that there are a few nick toon shirts worn to disney attractions too. Any more feedback on this would be appreciated.
My son loves Sponge Bob also and wore his shirts with pride on our cruise. Just because it is a disney cruise does not mean you have to wear disney 24/7. My hubby wears t-shirts from other cruises we have been on (not disney) and we think this is just fine. Have a great trip and wear what you like.
I'm a major Scooby Doo fan and I wore SD shirts everywhere and yeah, the CMs would kinda give their looks of mock disapproval,
BUT
DH and I were at a nice table for 2 and the next night our table had been moved to one with other people by the kitchen Maybe they just were consolidating areas, but we still laugh that Scooby got us a bad dining table Also, our assistant server could never remember our drink orders after the first night. Makes ya say hmmmmmmmmm
Hubby and I love to wear Six Flags or Universal shirts at Disney (and visa versa). Just beware...you never know what can happen. One day, at Epcot, I was wearing a Six Flags shirt. Suddenly this strange little vehicle screeched up next to me, a costumed CM leaned out and yelled, "Wrong park!!" and then sped off. I've heard of drive-by shootings, but never drive-by shirt harrassment!!! Hubby and I still laugh about it to this day.

I once had a cast member at Disneyland offer to trade for my South Park t-shirt. I held out for the best deal I could, but she wouldn't meet my price. Come to think of it, I don't even know where that shirt is anymore.
My DS wore a USA Olympic team basketball jersey with Shaquille O'Neal's name on it to MGM one day shortly after he opted to leave the Orlando Magic and sign as a free agent with the Lakers. The CM at the Prime Time Cafe refused to serve him until he took the jersey off and turned it inside out. Fortunately he had another t-shirt on underneath it. She was very good natured in her kidding about it but he was a little taken aback because he really couldn't tell how serious she really was--he was only 6 at the time.
My son wore his spongebob t-shirt with no problems. People wear just about every character you can think of.
I was once on another cruise line and brought along by big beautiful DCL logo beach towel and got many positive comments and questions from people!!! It was a great conversation piece!!
we had gone to the Daytona 500, and my son got a nice shirt that had woody woodpecker embroidered on it. Can't recall the car or driver at the moment. Anyway he wore the shirt the next day and a couple of the workers at Animal Kingdom made the comment that we were in the wrong park, and pointed to his shirt. No big deal, although I was surprised when it happened.
That's some funny stuff. I think I will allow him to wear his spongebob, but he can wear his donald duck the next day. Of course, he has buzz lightyear swim trunks too, so we do have some disney clothes. Hey, I'm wearing a mickey shirt right now! hehehe
Spongebob rules! If I had a Spongebob shirt, I'd wear it on the Disney cruise. My 2 yr. old nephew loves him, and has plenty of Spongebob attire that I'm sure he'll be wearing on our upcoming Disney cruise.
