Some souvenirs are best left at home.I always tell my kid to find a Mommy if he’s lost. That Mommy had better not hand him to a stranger wearing an inaccurate name tag!

When our kids and grandkids were young we told them to look for the CM tags, if there was an issue.
Hopefully a Mommy would be able to tell "Nickobi" wearing a Disney CM name tag is NOT a true Disney employee.
Nickobi I feel it's best to NOT wear in the parks. But if you must pin it to a backpack.
Enjoy your time in the parks.
I believe people feel that way because it seems like you are trying to stir the pot. First starts off with a name tag. Then dressing like a employee.
Make sure you post pictures of yourself in the park. Can’t wait to see it
What’s your name on Instagram
Don't. There were issues when SWGE opened and guests had replica nametags, and even though the font was obviously different, CMs were instructed to inform guests that those nametags were not allowed to be displayed at all. This would be a similar situation. Purely for the reasons explained above, namely the chance that another guests may mistake you for an actual CM. Some CMs do wear their nametag on their lanyard as they are travelling through the park to whatever backstage area they need to be at (this is common for entertainment, as their costumes are often in set locations) or WDI often will do this instead of wearing it on their tops, for whatever reason.
Don’t see any pics of you wearing the outfit that you claim you have in in the park.
Something smells funny
Seriously though, why does everyone have to make it sound like I have ill intent?
Because, sadly, some people in this world do. I get your sense of humor, but seriously dude, if you don't understand why it could possibly be a bad idea to wear a name tag that would make somebody think you're a cast member, I don't know what to tell you. Besides, I'd be afraid of losing something special like that in the park.
How else am I going to kidnap children?
I think most people are willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but the above joke wasn't communicated as clearly as it could have been (not everyone here knows you well enough to know when you are joking) and may not be funny with most parents. So, again, let's get back on topic...Seriously though, why does everyone have to make it sound like I have ill intent?

Are you talking about the Star Wars name tags that they sold in Tomorrowland?
