It would be fun, but not doable for a couple of reasons.
1. Disney can't have private property residences on it by Florida law. Don't know all the implications, but it affects things such as zoning, taxes, fire, police, trash, government, etc. (EG who would be your Mayor, Councilman?)
As
DVC members, we don't actually own property. We are leasing property, and the leases have expiration dates. Effectively the money we paid was used to build the property, but Disney owns it, and gave us a right to use clause that lasts up to 50 years.
2. If you didn't build a personal residence, but just purchased enough points to actually stay in a DVC villa for the entire year, keep in mind that you would have to move every so often. I think it's every 3 months. Something about if you stay more than 3 months you are considered a resident of the property. And if I'm not mistaken, you can't just move to another DVC property. You have to move completely out of WDW for a couple of weeks, or something like that.
Maybe some other poster can furnish the exact details.
