This is probably one of MANY frivolous lawsuits against Disney - and this @zz is going to file an appeal??? It's people like this that makes it a good idea for me not to carry a concealed weapon. :headache:

Disney wins lawsuit alleging ride caused stroke

ORLANDO, Fla. -- An Orlando jury sided with Walt Disney Co. in a lawsuit brought by a man who claimed negligence when he suffered a stroke weeks after riding the "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror."
Philadelphia resident Marvin Cohen claimed a sudden drop tore an artery leading to his brain during a 1998 visit.
The verdict Monday marked a rare instance in which a ride safety lawsuit against the theme park giant actually went to a jury. Most are settled or dismissed before trial.
Jurors deliberated three hours before determining the ride wasn't dangerous and Disney bore no negligence.
An attorney for Cohen said the now-80-year-old man may appeal.

This sounds like one of those old John Stossell's "Give me a break!" stories! How ridiculous can one person be? Did he not see the mile long warning posted that this is a high speed thrill ride? Do not ride if __________ (insert prob of choice)! and on and on and on...... He probably would have had a stroke in another setting anyway. I'm not minimizing a stroke, it is serious and I have compassion for him on that point, but good grief...GIVE ME A BREAK! Just MHO. (Thanks Deb, I almost flamed for the first time.)

BTW: It is called Tower of TERROR for a reason. (My eyes are rolled so far back in my head I can see myself think!)

My allergies are bad today. I think it's the flower I smelled at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 11 years ago. :rolleyes1

WOW! I guess all that good food I ate at WDW 4 years ago caused my sudden weight gain which led to my high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes that was diagnosed this week!

what about the little "souvenir" that some couples bring home?
Surprising no one has sued Disney for child support.

Now there's an idea...I found out I was pregnant with DD only a few weeks after returning from the Fort in 06. :rolleyes1

Maybe a lifetime pass for her? Or free stroller rentals!

I'm really bummed that our WDW vacation is over. Maybe I should sue for PDBD, Post Disney Blues Disorder. :lmao:

:worship:

Since my DW worked for DIS, I am suing because of her.

I can not take politeness any longer.

Sir, Miss, Hi, Thank you, Have a Disney Day. Your baby is so cute. Can I help you, A problem ? Let me get my supervisor. He/she can help with your. your problem. Locked your keys in your car. We will have someone here in 15 minutes. I could probably write another 115 of the above.

This can not be the real world. I think politeness is bad for your nerves.

Conclusion: My suit is for feeling really good. I am not used to this, so I must sue.
