We woke up Tinkerbell!!

On Thursday morning!! Both my DD's got to wake her up! Well, DD #1 did the waking up part while DD #2 watched and they both got a Magic Moments certificate!

It was so awesome and our fourth attempt!! We had CRT that morning at 8:10 and were out right at 9...they hadn't yet dropped the rope from the castle but did so as I was walking to the shop. I could hear feet stomping behind me as soon as they dropped the rope so I started hoofing it a little more. I got in and asked if she had been woken up and I heard "ohhhh" (very disappointed) behind me. Two little girls were the "stampede" about 8 and 10....at first I felt bad but this was their first attempt and the CM let them wake her up after we were through.....

I have never heard about this - sounds adorable. Where is Tinkerbelle sleeping & is it a real person or do you call or ring a bell or something?

My DD did it last October and loved it!!!! It's so magical. She still talks about it!

Not many people know about this little magical moment... congrats!

The morning me and my friend went to Magic Kingdom, we walked in, took a slow stroll down main street, took pictures. Then before we went on rides we went into Tinkerbell's Treasures just to look around. But I figured I'd ask about waking up Tink. Turned out nobody had! But as we were waiting for it to be set up, 2 people came in and asked, looking angry because two teens were doing it. I told my friend about how people on the DIS frowned upon stuff like that, but she put it this way.

"I never had the chance to do something like this as a child, or even have the opportunity to be here."

It really is a magical experience, and the certificate is too cute to boot!

So the key really is, get there early. But even if you come in later in the day, Tink's lights still twinkle around the store, just like when she woke up.

In the Tinkerbell Treasure store you can wake up Tinkerbell.....you have to be the first one there though.

We tried twice on our trip. One time I entered the wrong door and missed it. The next time we arrived at theh same time. I backed out dd didnt really know anything . I wish I would have asked for her to wake her too or even after the first ones.
Oh well next time.

the CM's were standing around and I just yelled out "has anyone woken TB yet?" there were both sets of doors open at the time.

If I had done that the first time instead of looking for the cash.. I went in the far doors not the side doors. We would have been able to wake tink our first time.
