We will be staying @ BC Which would be better for Breakfast Donald's Safari or Goofy's Cape May breakfast. 12 & 5 year old boys. Does one have better food, characters etc.

We ate at the Tusker House breakfast this past week and were quite pleased. Great food, characters and service.

Cape May is wonderful because the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing...The character interaction is great because the characters can and do take their time at each table...They are so cute in their beach clothes..Characters are usually Minnie, Goofy, Chip/Dale...The food selection si very large and the food is done well...There are tons of traditional favorites at this one....Tables are spread out and the place has a light and airy feel...This would be nice for you because you can just walk down stairs at your resort...This would make for a relaxing morning...

Tusker is very lively...There is also a wide variety of food and does include a few special items...The food is also very good....They have small stations that hold hot or cold foods instead of one long line....Characters are dressed in their safari costumes and are usually Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy...They have a big parade every 30-45 minutes...Characters do not spend a great deal of time at the tables...They are there just long enough to take a picture...Tables are very close together and the noise level is VERY LOUD...We like going to Tusker on our AK morning...It is a sure fire way to wake up and get ready for a busy day...It is great to go to Tusker before the park opens at 8:00, then you can jump right on the safari when it opens at 9:00 (safari is right across the way from Tusker)...

Our boys and us adults love both for different reasons....But I think the boys would vote Tusker #1 and Mommy and Daddy would vote for Cape May.

We will be making our first trip to WDW the first two weeks in Dec.:santa: We have ADR's for both of these breakfasts. Our DS who will be 11 then, picked Tusker House for "his" character meal. DBF and I picked Cape May. I think we will be really happy with both of these choices.:goodvibes

We have not tried Tusker House, but have done Cape May for breakfast on each of our last 3 trips and have loved it each time! (We stayed at the Yacht & Beach Club, so it was r-e-a-l-l-y convenient as well.)

I would have to say Cape May Cafe has been the best breakfast we've had. DD16 thinks we can't be in Orlando and not eat breakfast there!! DS17 has a ball there and DH (who is non-WDW and not normally playful like that) loved it too!! You just can't go wrong with that one!!

I tried both and really liked both, but I'd pick Donald's. The characters were great (we had an early ADR and they didn't seem rushed). SOOOO much better than the old Breakfastausorus.

Cape May is quieter. And being at the BC, it would be very convenient for you. Donald's is loud and a bit overwhelming but it was great. The food is more interesting than the usual character breakfast fare (try the cinnamon-apple chutney!).

Cape May cafe is a must do for us everytime. One of the best breakfasts in Disney I think.

How does the Cape May breakfast compare to Chef Mickey's? We are staying at BC and have ressies at CM's and 1900 PF. I'm thinking of changing CM's to Cape May (even though we will also be having dinner there) and 1900 to Crystal Palace for lunch (since DH is not a big breakfast guy, but the kids like the characters).

So, is Cape May comparable to Chef Mickey's? DS wants CM's but it is also more $$$ than all the other character breakfasts. Thanks.

These are the same and different in many ways...IMO....

At Cape May you are missing Mickey, Donald, and Pluto...I don't know if the characters are why you were going to Chef...At Cape there is Minnie, Goofy, Chip/Dale...Character interaction is great at both but they do spend more time at the tables at Cape....Better characters at Chef...Better interaction at Cape...

The food is about the same at both...I can think of just one or two things I think Chef has that Cape does not...The selection is large and good at both...

We really like the atmosphere at both for very different reasons...Chef is very lively and fun...Cape is calm and relaxed (but is fun too)...Cape is bright, clean and airy...On atmosphere Cape wins for us.

If you're stay @BC, you might want to walk over to Swan/Dolphin & do b'fast @ Garden Grove. We REALLY enjoyed the food better than Cape May b'fast....eggs benedict --different types of pastries. It is just goofy & Pluto, I think but it's a neat atmosphere, cheaper, easy to get ressies. I actually walked in & had a 10 min. wait for 4. I don't think it's on DDP but if you're DVC they do give discount.
