I have planned to go to MK the first day we get in which is a Saturday. Then the next day, Sunday as well.

Are the crowds heavy on Saturday and Sunday at MK?

In general, weekends are more crowded than weekdays at the theme parks.

I'm going first week of May as well. I checked out touringplans.com and based off it's suggestions on which parks to go to and avoid and the crowd counter, I'm doing the following:

Friday, May 1st - Magic Kingdom (only 4 on the crowd counter)
Saturday, May 2nd - Epcot (it said to avoid MK)
Sunday, May 3rd - Hollywood Studios
Monday, May 4th - Magic Kingdom
Tuesday, May 5th - Magic Kingdom
Wednesday, May 6th - Animal Kingdom
Thursday, May 7th - Downtown Disney
