That's good to know since DD also did gymnastics -- hmm...MOSI (Chicago), gymnastics, etc... Although DH was only at 1 of DD's gymnastics meets & we never travelled for them as they were all through the park district, so can't be the same ones.
DH does fully embrace the Grumpy persona too, which is a bit scary but funny.
We are in NW Ohio. And DD has only had one competitive season thru USAG. All meets were here in Ohio, but of course, none were any less than an hour & a half drive!
Maybe we should introduce DH's to each other so they can Grump with one another instead of us!!
Funny thing is, mine LOVES WDW, yet still can't make a trip without slipping into character - as Grumpy, that is!
Oh well, just like with our kids, ya gotta love 'em!!

I must say, I am enjoying the stories.
. It's my fil, he honestly reverts to an 8 yo when around us, he seems to enjoy antagonizing everyone. The rest of us know better than to fall into his "fight with me" trap, but the 8yo is just beginning to learn this...last year was ridiculous listening to the two of them bickering. This year she said to me "mom, I'm going to be the grown up one this time, and just ignore Grumpa". Yeah, that's right...he's GRUMPA, not Grampa.
I'm sure we will have a good "that family" story when we get back!
