I posted this in the other forum but thought some might like to see it here.

I am working on a full trip report but for now ...

On Monday, January 29th (our first full day at the park) we were picked to be MK family of the day. We arrived around 8 for our 8:20 reservations (which I had changed from 8:50 at the last minute) at Cinderella's castle and a guy pulled us aside and asked if we were there for a breakfast reservation. We said yes and he asked us if we could wait a bit to eat. Of course based on all the reading I did here, I knew something magical was coming and said we could wait.

We got whisked away to Toon Town in one of the old fashion cars to the train station. While we were waiting, around the corner come about 12 characters and it was JUST THE 4 OF US! We got to get photos, play around, signatures .... for about 15-20 minutes.

We got to get on the train with all the characters. In our train car, it was suppose to be just us and Mickey but my 4 yr old begged to have Pluto sit next to her and they agreed. My 7 yr old asked if we could enter through the Exit and they agreed to that too 4 yr old had a blast playing with Pluto until the train took off (another 5-7 mintues probably). He was great with her. We road the train to the front of Magic Kingdom and joined in the song and dance (well, we waved, they sang and danced) for the grand opening cermony. Then, we had a countdown and tossed confetti in the air. It was about an hour from start to finish.

Oh yea, after we were done and walking away, the leader of the opening ceremony (not the mayor) gave youngest DD a tinkerbell YOAMD pin (you know, you get one, share the other one). He said it might be the only way to help her remember the experience since she is so young. He said she should share the 2nd pin with her sister. We got a free 5x7 photopass of us during the opening and then we got to go to the front of the line for our breakfast at Cinderella's Castle!

That would have been enough for any one family but our luck continued.

On Tuesday, after getting off the Safari in AK and walking through the trails (around 9:30), we were awarded Dream Fast Passes for the day.

On Thursday, my DDs got picked to play a recylcing game with the janitorilal CMS and were given certificates (around 9:05). Oldest DD later that day got to do the Hokie Pokie in The Mouse Gears and got a certificate for that (around 1:00). And, while not a "dream" we got to ride Test Track 3 times in a row that morning because nobody was in line waiting to ride when we finished our turn.

On Saturday, we went to Innoventions (9:10 AM) and were strongly encouraged by people in white vests to go play the Put out the Fire game in Innoventions West. We were awarded Fast Passes again!

Thanks for sharing..........wow you sound like you had a magical time! The day in MK sounds so cool!!

Wow!! What an awesome adventure you had! I guess the trick is to get there nice and early in the morning??
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the photos attached to your post! Hopefully your kids will remember it based on your telling of the story and showing them the photos through the years.
My son was 4 when we went last time to DisneyWorld and he is 6 now and remembers everything because we keep talking about it!

Loved the photo of your family surrounded by all the characters...that one's a keeper !!! :thumbsup2

What a great trip! On our last trip my youngest DD was 2.5 (December 05), we are going back this December and were talking about the upcoming trip with our 11 year old, and the now almost 4 year old proceeded to recount our last trip right down to the last detail. "Remember we rode Dumbo together mommy, remember the Teacups, remember when I was scared when Mickey made fire come out of his hands (Fantasmic) This time I will close my eyes (I had to leave with her last time) This time I won't be scared at the Ariel show, I promise, I am bigger now. Will Belle ask me to be in her show again (she was Chip in Belle's Storybook Reading at the MK)" So, chances are pretty good your DD will remember some of it!

What an amazing time you must of had! I love the picture of you throwing the confetti, what a great picture. Lucky you :-)

Awesome!!! I love the picture of you guys with all the characters-get a big frame for that one! We won the castle suite stay in Feb so I can understand your excitement on this one. We are still so excited about winning-that kind of magic dosen't go away! Congrats!!

Your family seems like a "MAGIC" magnet! It makes the trip so much more memorable! Congratulations!!!
