Hi everyone!
We are just back from a whirlwind 3 day tour of IoA and the MK, and something amazing happened that I have not seen posted anywhere by anyone else. Perhaps I missed it; let me know if I did.
We went to IoA on Friday, April 1st. We were in WWOHP from 8:00 to 10:00 and then left to other parts of the park because it was so crowded. FYI, DD (9) got selected for the wand ceremony, which was very exciting for her!
We went to CityWalk around 1:00 because all of IoA was packed. We took a long break, had a leisurely late lunch, shopped a little, etc. We returned around 4:30 and went over to Seuss Landing. We stopped at the entrance to Seuss Landing to take a family picture, and one of the Universal employees approached us and offered to take a family photo with our camera. His name was Andrew (I'll never forget his name!) and he was accompanied by a woman holding what looked like a bubble gun. He took our picture, then said "Since you were so nice allowing me to take your picture, I have something for you." He gave us four admission passes that were good for Express access at any attraction except Pteranodon Flyers, Rip Rocket, or Forbidden Journey. He pointed out these exceptions, and then said "These don't work on the Forbidden Journey, so I'll give you four more passes that do."
These were identical passes to the first ones, except they had a red stamp on them that said "Universal, GS, April 01 2011, Forbidden Journey". I asked "Is this an April Fool's Joke?!" and he assured me it wasn't.
I shook his hand and we all thanked him profusely!!!
We used our first passes for Spiderman, then worked our way back over to WWOHP. At the time, the wait was 120 minutes, but when we showed the workers at the front our passes, they sent us straight through a line that I eventually figured out was the line for the castle tour. We made our way through the line, and right before we got to the exit, we came across the employees that were directing people to the seats for the ride. They ushered us right through and we were seated immediately!! I can't believe it- what an amazing gift!
Has anyone else had something like this happen to them at Universal? So what do you call "pixie dust" in Universal, lol?!
