We talk too much in our trip reports!!!

thanks for asking! Sick. We actually used the old boogie getter on a five year old girl' this morning....why can't she figure out how to blow that stinkin' nose! I've explained it to Aidan (master blower, by the way) and a couple classrooms (when I taught private school), but can't get it through to her....

Baby is still doing fine, sleeping right now still. So, let's hope he doesn't wake up snotty. Ugh. I hate mucous.

However, the kids and I did pack their suitcases last night. Even packed their tennis shoes, so they have to wear fuzzy crocs or boots the next 2 days. Oh well. It's done. With the exception of their meds and toothbrushes. Don't want to go two days without those. I also need to do their pjs....if I keep writing that note to myself and telling people I won't forget. Anderson is even packed, with exception of diaper bag. And diapers and food to be delivered. (don't I have a pre-trip report for this? :lmao: )

Anyway....Aussie....that transmission better not go out! Are you all responsible people that get a big service on the vehicle before long drives? (we aren't) Good luck with that....Oh, please explain Vicks on the feet????? We'll use it under noses or on chests..... But right now, I'm doing zicam every 4 hours on the kids (nasal swabs). do you think I can go do it at morning recess??

man....that bicker thread is still going. can't find my beating a dead horse graphic that i used a few days ago.....he is quite argumentative.

speaking of funny threads....anyone ever participate in those budget board threads about cvs and couponing? i can not even understand their shorthand about deals! gives me a chuckle tho!

Hey ya'll!

Kari - so glad to hear that Anders isn't sick. Still sending up prayers. Someone on another thread, that actually was all about what to do for a child's cough, said to rub vicks on the child's feet and put socks on.(The child not you) Several people swear it works, nobody knows why. One of those folk med mysteries. Couldn't hurt to try. They all said they used it at night to stop coughing. I didn't know you could use Zicam on kids. Lilly has a stuffy nose and sneezing now to go with the cough that she's had, maybe I need to get some for her. Will it help that? The good news is, our Ped is probably going to be at WDW at the same time and I already have his cell#. Don't think I won't call him up at his suite at the GF or where ever successful Dr.s stay and make him fix my sick child.:rotfl: No we don't do the whole car check out thing either. Although we may have to in the next day or two. We did have the oil changed and the tires rotated. DH thinks it is a computer problem b/c the door locks did this weird thing where they kept opening and closing the other day. Good for you on the packing!:thumbsup2

Gotta run, Rhett crying

there's more to checking the car than changing the oil and rotating the tires? :scared1:

Time to get a new car quick before I need anything more than that!! :rotfl:

Well, DH just took the car to the dealership to get it looked at. I wouldn't be surprised if he just came home in a new car.

Thanks for the info on Zicam. I think I'd better go get some. Is Anders still good?

Going to get a haircut in a few. Wish me luck!

Hi coolies. Man I missed a lot this weekend while I was trying to deal with my sinus infection--too much pain to sit on a computer. I just love how I always get sick after a vacation. The better the vacation, the sicker I get.

GP, welcome back. I missed you. Judi needs some help keeping the sarcasm level up here for us.

AUssie, you need a car? Gosh I wish I could give you mine. I hate my car. It's a perfectly good car, I just hate it. Unfortunately, it will be 3 years old in April and I just turned 14,000 miles on it. That sucker is going to last forever. It's a company car and I have no good reason to get a new one other than I don't like this one. My attitude has gotten worse ever since my boss said I could have the BMW roadster for my next car. He probably said that knowing that this Toyota Solara is going to be with me FOREVER.......

Enough ranting about not liking the car, what does it say about my life that I've only went 14,000 miles in 3 years. Obviously, not much happens to me. It's a sad commentary I tell you.

Are you guys getting excited about going? I'm thinking about going in May again. I have boatloads of DVC points and annual passes so what is there to think about? Leaving my dogs is the toughest part I guess.

It's lunch time for me so I think I'll go read this thread you guys are talking about. It'll be more fun than working through lunch.

And Lynn, Happy Belated Birthday. I was going to walk 3 miles in your honor but Tina beat me to it. Thank goodness. I didn't even get dressed yesterday so I'm glad Tina took it for the team here!!!

anders-cranky, chewing on finger, drooling, almost 7 months.....what do you think? teething? of course, this perfect baby was the happiest, flirtiest baby in the world shopping this afternoon (and is now chuckling at the computer).

the twins believe they are cured of all sickness from the medicine mom sticks up their noses. therefore no germs on fingers.

I am finally learning to wear socks to bed, but ooey gooey socks?? Yuck!! :crazy2:

I would be happy to take it off your hands for you so that you can get your BMW!!! :worship: What color is it??

It's the pearlized white with a tan convertible top, tan leather interior with heated seats, onboard navigation system, etc. It has every option that was available. The only thing I like about it is that it's a soft top and those heated seats. I will never have a car without those again.

I don't know why I hate this car but I do. I never felt that way about a car before. It's like it's personal now. This car offended me in some way and there's nothing it can do to make it up to me now.

Woo-hoo, the work day is over. I'm heading home!!!!!

sometimes I feel guilty that i have these glorious heated seats, and the kids must sit on padded cold plastic. but not very often. :rotfl2:

i hate my minivan. and not because it's a minivan. believe me, i hated it for that reason in the beginning of our relationship. But then it wore me down by being so dang convenient (kinda like DH :lmao: ). Then it became a back stabber with all these little issues like the front power window malfunctioned making drive thru Starbucks impossible. Then the sliding door on the driver's side stopped sliding. Then it turned and swiped its side on a guardrail that was not in its appropriate place due to an another rude car that had bent it all out of shape (ok, that might have been my problem). The kids and DH feel like it's an extra room in the house, maybe the kitchen?, and it is disgusting. I can't keep it clean. Now, we've been told that the steering fluid is leaking, but that we should hold off fixing it (we drove the thing 38,000 miles in 2 yrs on a lease, already over warranty) because the dealership keeps seeing this issue from 06's and they anticipate a recall. What more can this car do to me? If the heated seats go out.....you'll see it on the side of the highway, I swear!

So, I think I'll start looking at third row SUVs....I like Adam's 2 row X5....they come with a third row now.....:rolleyes1

Hey ya'll!

Yippee, Pakey's back! Hope you're feeling better.

That's why I don't want a minivan, I know it would look like my in-laws trailer in no time.:lmao: With all that room, it would be trashed pretty quick like.

DH took the car in and there is a problem with the spacely sprocket, (part of the transmission), so they're keeping it for a day or two (we hope!). DD went with him and when the guy said they needed to leave it she told him "You can't keep our car, we need our car, we're going to Disney World, we gotta have our car!" :rotfl: However, since the rental is a bright yellow Xtera, she's okay. I love my Tahoe, but I have a hard time parking it. It's pretty big.

Can you take the rental on your trip - and save the miles on yours??

Kari and AU - it is getting so close now! Hope all the kiddies are feeling better and the car issue is resolved soon! AU - will you be doing a TR? :rolleyes1

Hope everyone has a great day!
