I will write a full trip report sometime in the next few days, but we returned, all in one piece, and did NOT need a GAC!

(We decided we would see how our oldest did without any accommidations and go from there.)

It was amazing, I loved every second of it, and we're planning our next trip already and we literally just got back on hour ago. (In honesty, I was trying to look stuff up online in the car, it was just taking too long!)

Thats great, sounds like you had a fab time.xx

On our 1st trip we managed without a GAC, we knew about it and i think we got one but didnt use it. That was in 2004 and it was a lot quieter, the staf just directed us to different entrances when needed. We had a fab time too.xx :cool1:

Yay!! Your post made me smile this am!! So awesome you had such a great time, and I will agree with you, it really is a magical place!! :goodvibes

My dd has CP and while we love the beach for summer vacations, it just isn't the same for her. I wish we could go to Disney every year for her!

I love Disney for this reason!! My daughter has her melt downs while at Disney when she becomes over tired or overwhelmed, but generally she is much better at disney and when we get home from a trip. So far we have been lucky enough to do yearly trips, hopefully we can contine to do this because disney is almost like therapy for her.

Congrats!

I had the same experience this past week. I was worried because DD was with her grandparents for 4 days before we left on the trip and she had multiple meltdowns with them. But we made it through 8 nights/9 days at Disney in mid-90s heat (with heat index north of 100 degrees) with no meltdowns until the very last hour before we boarded DME back to the airport, and that meltdown was a very minor one. It was so minor I'm not sure I'd even classify it as a meltdown. I didn't get a GAC. There were a couple times when I considered it, but DD was handling things so well I decided to keep trying without it. We had an awesome time. You are right - Disney really is magic!
