We survived Thanksgiving crowds. How will do with Easter?

I decided YESTERDAY to go to Disneyworld for Easter weekend. I was going to go in June but I got a $34 each way DING on SW and couldn't resist. ;-)

Can you believe at less than 90 days, I was able to get each and every ADR that I wanted?! Even Le Cellier! And Boma for Easter dinner!

I also called and got quotes AP rate quotes for 7 nights at YC and AKL.

Does that seem odd that the hotels have this much availability and restaurants are wide open for all my ADRs? Or am I just being optomistic at this point?

How much worse are the crowds Easter week vs. Thanksgiving week? We did just fine with the help of TGMike and the UG. We're planning to tour early mornings, leave at lunch, return to the suggested park after dinner.

Any other advice or suggestions from those who have BTDT would be appreciated.

We decided 2 weeks ago for an april trip, 4-11. I was able to get ap rate for por and all dining choices when I started calling. One meal could of been a little earlier but I think we will be fine. I've been at tday before but this is our first time around easter too. (I've never planned a trip on such short notice.) It's also the first time we've signed up for TGM. I feel prepared anyway. Hopefully both our vacations will be magical.

Anyways sorry I couldn't help, but we are in similar boats.

This will be our second Easter trip. :yay: :cheer2:

The parks will be crowded, but if you plan ahead you'll be fine.

I booked most of our ADRs back in October. I called last week to add few more and didn't have any trouble getting what I wanted.

The only thing I haven't been able to book is an Illuminations Cruise. :guilty:

I was able to get a Wishes Cruise,:cool1: but I'm thinking about changing the date since I don't want to miss EMH evening at Animal Kingdom.

I can't wait to ride EE!

I am a certified Disney nut. I went over spring break in 05' which coincided with Easter. I have never in my life experienced crowds or lines like that and I will never go back during that time. I ran into lines the minute I got on the freeway heading down-from Michigan. Restaraunts (in WDW) were turning away walk-ins. There are plenty of threads on the DIS that discuss this and most people will tell you--its CROWDED!

I've gone both during Thanksgiving week and Easter week. We found Easter week to be a little busier, because the first couple of days of Thanksgiving week are slower, but during Easter, the parks were pretty full for the whole week, rather than Wednesday through Saturday.

That being said, we still enjoyed Easter week, and found it a good deal less crowded than the parks are during the summertime (and not nearly as HOT!). I hope you have a great trip!
