We stayed in Cinderella's Castle

Yea!!! :cheer2: Thank you for posting!
Sounds like you had a great time & nice to hear from a fellow Disser what it was like (btw- I LOVE the pics of the room "in use" as that's how all my room photos come out ~LMAO~ beds messed up & all :rotfl: it makes it all so real!)

How exciting. Congrats to you and your family. Thanks so much for sharing your story, experience and pictures. :)

Thanks for letting us share in your dream! The pictures are wonderful...your DD's are adorable.

Thanks for sharing your story...
I have dreamed of sleeping in that castle my whole life!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9:
You are so lucky!!!!!!!!!:yay:
Congrats again!:thumbsup2

I just had another thought...This would be a great story to send to some magazines.. I'm sure they'd love to publish your story while this is still all so new.

And i'm curious, have you been in the local paper?

Great idea! Wouldn't that be cool.

The folks at Disney said they would be sending a press release to our local paper but we have not been contacted. I feel like an egomaniac to say this but, I think we will contact a reporter who is a poker playing friend of my husband if we don't hear anything from them soon. We live in a small town and it would be cool to have one more peice of memorabilia since this is the most amazing thing that has happened to us aside from the birth of our girls. Besides people might think I am a complete dork when I am still announcing "We stayed in the Castle" months from now. This would just get it out of the way. :)

Are you kidding.???. you're going to be asked about this for a long, long time.. But that's a great thing.. there's worse things to be known for  Plus it'll give you lots of opportunities to spread the disney magic.

And No I don't think it's egomania at all.. i'd want it published everywhere.. But i'd hit the magazines soon before another winner does.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Thanks soo much for sharing. Your pictures are amazing....

The legal paperwork says the "winner and 5 guests" and that is about all the suite would hold. There are two queen beds and one love seat that pulls out into a full size bed. The beds were extremely comfortable with lots of pillows and perfectly pressed cotton sheets. The blankets on the bed, super soft themselves, were between sheets so it not only looked beautiful but was even more comfortable.

I am going to try to go into detail about the suite for anyone who hasn't read the descriptions online:

Foyer--a mosaic of Cinderella's Coach is on the floor and consists of over 30,000 tiles, including 3400 24-carat gold and more than 120 white gold pieces which took more than 4 months for 4 craftswomen to complete. We had no idea about this until we got home and read this. We didn't even look at it that closely!

Bed chamber-- 17th century secretary desk from the Netherlands, 2 antique slipper chairs (used by people to put there shoes on), 2 beds with head boards standing 8 ft high with a large C at the top, a "portrait" of Cinderella above the fireplace that turns into a TV, two columns that have the mice characters carved in the top, a huge limestone fireplace that has a fiber obtic fireworks display, and the most incredible floor I have ever seen. The floor sparkled with flecks of maybe gold!?! We were able to choose ambiance , just above the bed, or sleep lighting from one of many keypads. Lots of mirrors. The alarm clock is even in a fabric covered box so that it doesn't disturb the look with its modern look. Not that we needed it because 1) I didn't sleep more than 15 mintes at a time all night from the excitement and 2) Cinderella gave us a wake up call. The speakers on the mantle were disguised in antique looking books on one side and a decorative box on the other. When they turned down our beds they lined up our ears along the mantle, left chocolates wrapped in gold foil with a castle, cards with a glass slipper that said "May all your dreams come true." They also created a glass slipper on a pillow in the bathroom out of wash clothes and ribbon, sprinkled rose petals around the bathroom, and laid out the bath rugs. The movie of Cinderella was playing on both TVs when we walked into our room after dinner. Oh--there was stationary that of course we took with us!!

Parlor--beautiful wood floors, a touch screen to control the mirror that turned into a TV, fridge stocked with drinks, a safe, hidden closets, DVD players and a selection of DVDs, antique spy glass that our little one discovered and my husband noticed her discovering in the knick of time. Tinkerbelle left our daughters a note when she turned down the room and left Mickie and Minnie dream friends along with a signed framed photo of Jasmin, Aladdin and Genie that said "Congratulations Lindsey" since those are her favorite characters.

Bathroom--two copper basins with fixtures that are designed to look like pumps on a well like in the movie when Cinderella is feeding the animals. More mosaics on the walls around the tub made of 30,000 tiles made of Italian smalti glass similar in look to the ones in the castle breezeway at ground level. The lighting allows you to light just the mosaics or just turn on the stars in the ceiling. The stars are actual constellations. The floors and walls of the shower are made of tiny travertine peices that create swirl patterns. The bath products are the ones used at the higher end resorts and are WONDERFUL. The soaps had an "F" on them for the Floridian I guess.

I can't think of much more.
AMAZING!!:cloud9:

Well....its hard to come down from our experience but its back to reality. Huge reality check when we hit the airport and our flight was cancelled and we were rerouted through Atlanta and it added 1.5 hours to our long flight back to Kalispell, MT. Add the 30 degree temp and fresh snow and I am sure we aren't royalty anymore.

I just want to point out that if you weren't still royalty, there wouldn't be 10 pages on this thread already. Normally it takes weeks or months to get to 10 pages on a trip report. :thumbsup2

I just got to look at the pictures and they were great, thanks so much for sharing my DD5 and I loved them.

I haven't read your whole report yet,
