We Shared a SWW...and more! Done...At Home! (10/17)

The Beverly has become a must-do for my kids! I don't know why....I think they must think it is "cool"!

I take the same pictures everytime I ride LwtL...the Mickey shaper....the deflated pumppkin (althought I never thought of it as a bean bag--funny!! :lmao: It does look like one!!)....the sunflowers.....and the lettuce!! You're right it isn't super exciting but there is just something about the attraction. I don't wait in long rides for it though!! :)

I get so annoyed when I have to put up with other children's bad behavior...not necessarily because the child is mis-behaving but because the parents need to learn to...well...parent!!! Just be thankful you could seperate!! :worship:

Love your description of LWTL, :cool1:. You have such great imagination when you write, I just give the facts.

And you know we would be wishing for that child to fall overboard also. But glad you finally got away from him and his parents.

Hmm, I'm thinking you went Italian for supper.

I have 2 of these growing at home. Chillis only starting to come out. DH is going to eat them apparently but then he is chilli daft. I am putting money on them going to waste or being used in some sort of male drunken dare. I certainly won't be using them in my cooking!

Great update. Could you not have rocked the boat a bit to knock that little darling overboard?? I would have been tempted too!

My DH loves hot peppers, too -- but he knows his limit! Good luck, and let us know if he manages to eat them.

I was tempted to be the "meany" and scold the child for doing things that might get him over-tipped into the water, but then I thought: how would he learn, otherwise? Unfortunately... ;)

I didn't mention it, but those parents looked a little tougher than I really cared to deal with...some major tats and some strung out looks -- it was sad.

But other than that, we did enjoy the ride! :)

Loving the trip report cant wait to see more!

Hi, BlueJasmine! Thanks for stopping by...! :cheer2:

Well, you are correct in that we didn't stay in this part of Epcot...but not Italian! ;)

Well, my resolve dissolved. We had spent the entire morning and afternoon in Future World, and now that dinner had begun calling, there wasn't anything we wanted there. I decided I wanted to try something in World Showcase I've heard a lot about, but hadn't been there, before.

When I told everyone what I wanted to do, I didn't exactly get applause. In fact, I got groans.

Ta-da: We went to Tangierine Cafe! Here's what was left when I remembered to take a picture:

ry%3D480

The food was REALLY, really good. The girls had the same kind of meat, and really enjoyed it. That bread rocked. The chickpea stuff was awesome...the girls even ate that. But they didn't care for the couscous stuff.

ry%3D480

I sent them back for our desserts, which, for that place on the QSDP, was baklava.

It was cold, clammy, and stuck together. That baklava was probably the worst I've ever had...it was a sorry ending to a pretty good meal. :(

We then roamed around the Morocco shopping area.

ry%3D480

I caught my DH looking at this dummy. C'mon, honey...really?

ry%3D480

I guess so. :headache:

ry%3D480

The girls had fun.

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Okay. I had never taken a picture of it -- but the warped minds of the Dis boards let me in on this little secret. :)

ry%3D480

In one shop, the girls thought they could possibly conjure a genie...and spent a few minutes polishing the tableware. I'm sure the shop keeper was appreciative.

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

As we came out of the shops, we saw some commotion around the cafe. It was FILMING!!

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We crowded around to watch.

ry%3D480

Apparently, the scene was the waiter would give her something to eat, and speak politely, and then the lady would speak into the camera. Jordan said it was the lady that we always see in the Disney videos on the resort channel.

ry%3D480

Pretty cool...

The girls decided to go shopping in the Japanese store. They stayed for a long time...

ry%3D480

Jordan bought a Japanese cartoon poster.

ry%3D480

It was a good ending to a good day -- the only time we had stayed throughout the afternoon until evening... we were all tired. Here's a pic of the girls waiting on the bus for "home."

ry%3D480

Oh, wait...where was home again? ;)

:rotfl2::lmao:I have never heard of that one pic! See, I don't know everything. Must find it to show Jonas.

Love the pic of Robert looking at the mannequin, brings back memories of last year when he asked Jonas about the girl and the chocolate mousse.:rotfl2:

And you totally threw me for a loop, I never would have guessed that you had dinner there. The food is good, sorry to hear about dessert though. :sad2:

Oh, man -- YOU didn't know about the um...hidden phallus? I wonder if there are any more? Wouldn't THAT make a great game? :lmao:

Robert cracks me up -- he doesn't realize what he's even doing, and then I catch him!

Yeah, I couldn't believe how the girls raved about the food...I knew they were hungry, tho. ;)

Okay. I spent the better part of the afternoon reading your TR. I am really enjoying it. We leave in 11 days and I am very, very, ready to go. I laughed hysterically at the pumpkin joke after I saw the picture of your DD!!! :rotfl2:n I have a 15-year-old DS and that would have been HIS facial expression. Embarrassed to have parents at ALL, hoping others thought he hatched from an egg!! :lmao: Can't wait to read more.

I should add that he hoping to eat them in things not raw!!!! He says a nibble would be even to much. God knows what he wants me to put them in!

Hi, StepDisney! :cheer2::cheer2: Thanks for spending time with us! And I am SO EXCITED for you -- 11 days!! Okay...yes, I am VERY familiar with the teenage "why are you embarrassing me, MOM?" attitude! It just makes me laugh harder... ;)

It could be whole new game similar to finding Hidden Mickeys!!!!!!

OMGosh, it would be so hilarious -- do you think we'd be banned by the Dis Boards?? :lmao:

I'm wondering if we'd inadvertently cause some "re-imagineering"?

It looks like a very successful Epcot day!! You all accomplished so much!

Last night, I was reading the last installment and Keith made a statement on your husband with the Moroccan model and the uhmmmm.....other one that I have never heard about but as soon as he looked over at the computer he said "That looks like a ____!" It was hilarious!! :lmao:

:rotfl: It seems like a last minute "add-on" to the Moroccan decor, so it makes you wonder...!!

One more day of Epcot to go! (wishing I could go today, instead of going through with this scheduled Monday work-day!!)

Just a small update...

I don't know why that picture at the bus stop looked so dark...it wasn't quite that dark when we got back to AKV!

We went to the lady at the front of the lobby, and explained we were checking in to concierge. She had trouble finding a key to the elevator -- someone had misplaced it!! :rotfl: But soon, we were on the concierge floor. I had a surprise for my DH. :)

He went over to the concierge desk to check us in.

ry%3D480

Okay. Now, THIS look says, "too cool!!" She was so happy about this move.

ry%3D480

I think Natalie was hungry. It looks like she's trying to eat her mug!

We sent the girls on to get something to eat and drink, and here's where my DH hears, "Happy Birthday!" And gets his birthday pin. He had no idea!! His birthday was still a few days away, but... ;)

ry%3D480

He was happy about it. :goodvibes He's the kind who likes an extra perk or attention.

Our girls got something to eat and camped out while the registration process carried on. We had to get our tickets put on our new cards.

ry%3D480

DH and I got a little somethin' too. They had the standard fare -- crisp chips, granola bars, and the best thing: the African smoothie!!! :woohoo: I LOVE that thing...man. That was the first thing I headed for.

ry%3D480

Okay...more later! Have a great Monday.

 on to Concierge. I'm thinking about mentioning this to Jonas for our January trip.

I should add that he hoping to eat them in things not raw!!!! He says a nibble would be even to much. God knows what he wants me to put them in!

I'm picturing the guy on TV that runs around trying to heat crazy stuff like that. I wonder if just regular rubber gloves are worn to touch them or if they have to be industrial?

It could be whole new game similar to finding Hidden Mickeys!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing. :rotfl2:

How exciting....Concierge!!! :cool1:

And how great your DH gets to enjoy some birthday magic there!!

What concierge are you considering? Beach Club, Poly, or maybe Boardwalk? I didn't know if POFQ had club-level.

No, moderates don't have club level, so the three you mentioned, but also Grand Floridian or Contemporary. But one of the readers of my TR mentioned a Premium or Platinum Package. Leaning more towards it now. Includes 3 meals a day, any resort recreation (such as the boats, parasailing, fishing, etc.), La Nouba, and all the tours. Just getting ready to research it some more. And we can do the Premium and still stay at our home POR. Platinum requires one of the deluxes.

Yes, we LOVE being pampered! :lmao: Who doesn't? But we are fortunate that our "home" resort has club privileges for DVC owners, whereas other resorts don't offer club-level to DVC points.

And, my DH was so shocked by the pin...and he RELISHED all the happy birthdays that he got! The only thing is...he's a bit hard of hearing, even with his hearing aids, and sometimes didn't catch the well-wishes. We would have to say "Thank you!!" for him. ;)

Well, definitely Premium sounds like the best kind of deal for ya'll, if you stay with POR! I'm just curious which of the resort recreations you'll do in January -- parasailing, or boats? ;) I'm thinking that spray might be a little chilly!
