We already had 102 different characters, so we weren't expecting to find many this trip.
We were pleased & surprised to add 21 new characters, making our total 123.
Most of the ones we were surprised to find were already posted while we were gone, and we missed Jiminy & the Cabelleros because we didn't know about them before we left.
We were hoping for Clarice since she's been out pretty regularly, but we were told that she's no longer out. We asked several different CMs at different times on 2 different days.
Rabbit has still eluded us!
We were actively seeking the characters, but several of them we just happened upon. I thought they'd be in a different area (or not out at all) & we happened to be there at the right time, even though that's not where I planned to be at the time.
Many of the less common areas had very few people in line for the characters, some had nobody! DD felt very sorry for those CMs - she said they must feel sad standing there all alone in a hot costume, so we took pictures of her with them, no autographs.
Here's the ones that were new for us:
Atta at AK
Big Al & Shaker at American Adventure
6 Dwarfs at MNSSHP (we already had Dopey) We waited almost an hour for them to come out
but I wasn't going to miss them again this year. Starting at 7, we asked several CMs, mostly character handlers, about where & when they would be coming out, and got vary vague answers. A CM sweeping came over to ask why we were just sitting there when there was a party going on - he knew exactly when & where the Dwarfs would be out.
Brer Fox in Frontierland - not at Splash Mt. like I expected
Kim Possible & Ron Stoppable at MGM. A couple of times there was no line when we walked past.
Mr. Penguin at MGM on Mickey Avenue. I was hoping to find him at the hat. Since he was alone here, he was signing.
He was one of the best interactions we had this trip - very excited to see we had a page for him. He danced & jumped all around, showing people his page - he was very cute. The characters at this location had very short lines each time we went past, the ones at the Hat were much longer. We saw a good selection of characters rotating here, but Mr. Penguin was the only one we needed.
Sheriff of Nottingham - Teardrop by MK train station
Bullseye at MNSSHP
Clarabelle & Horace in front of train station at MK
Johnny Lightning & Mater
Darth Vader & Storm Trooper at Star Tours
We were pleased to see so many characters out & about, even though we already had them.
While we were waiting for Bullseye on Friday, a man told us that they saw Bo Peep at Al's Toy Barn the day before after the parade. We went back top MGM on Monday to check it out, but the CM said that Bo Peep doesn't greet.
Hopefully we'll find a few new ones in Dec.
