:cool1: Well we finally booked our vacation for Sept 11th to the 21st at Pop Century. 10 nights there, plus hopper and 10 day premium tickets and FREE FOOD for 2 adults and 2 children for....

are you ready.....

$1800.00
we just saved a grand from our last qoute.

This is our first trip and we are now officially set to leave on Sept 9th

Excellent :flower: :flower:

What's even better is now you can do character dinners without trying to justify the cost because they are FREE!

Who did you book through?!

Is it the 'magic plus' that has the waterparks, disneyquest etc... or the 'premium' that includes the recreation, food, golf, etc...??
Park Hopper?
What are your flights? What part of Canada are you flying out of?
:wave2:

Albertan mom- I am not the original poster but I can answer a dew questions for you.

This is the new promotion that Disney Offered starting yesterday. If you buy a hotel/ticket package you get the dining package free. The tickets right now are just base tickets but you can add whatever options you like for the extra charge.

We are not going until December and I am really hoping they offer the same during our time frame.

Congratulations on the great savings. I can only hope that this will be offered in 12/2006!!

now what happens if you have already bought your tickets? can you not take park in this deal? I am buying them slowly to help spread the cost out so I hope I don't miss out on this deal IF they do it in December of next year.

You have to have your tickets included so if you have already bought all of them it will be no good for you.

Where is the link to this promotion? In particular, I am wondering if one can take advantage of the free dining, if one books a hotel, without purchasing the WDW theme park tickets?

You have buy a theme park ticket as part of the promotion..

Tell me more!!!!!!!! Is this just for September? You can't tease us like that then leave us hanging :) That's an awesome deal.

My understanding is that you can buy just a one day pass and still get the free meals for as many days as your stay. So even if you have your tickets it might be worth buying the package with one day passes just to get the free meals. Kim

For more info, go to the dining forum. We booked too. We already have some passes, so it was great for us. You need to book the package with at least 1 pass per person. You are charged rack rate, but then you get 1 snack, 1 counterservice meal, and 1 table service meal per person, per day. The reservations are up to Oct. 4 for the free meals. For example, 7 nights at a value resort for 2 adults, 1 base ticket /pp with a park hopper feature and no travel insurance, plus meals for 2 =$805.28 u.s.

8 nights value resort, 1 base ticket/ pp, park hopper, no insurance, plus meals for 2 = $891.16 u.s.

8 nights value, 1 base ticket/pp, no park hopper, no insurance, + dining for 2 = $816.62.

We booked arrive on Oct. 4. Since we arrive during the acceptable period, we get the price for the whole trip at that code.

I have the same package and tickets for only 7 days and I got $2005.

The only thing I can see is the age of our kids.....mine are 16 and 13...so adult age...are yours under 9???

Thanks

Has anyone been able to confirm the above info.
I recently obtained 8 one day park hoppers, in a fund raising auction, and would just purchase a one day basic ticket, stay for 6 days and enjoy the free food.

TIA

Yes, I called and confirmed this. One day base ticket=free dining for the whole trip! However, I understand that everyone on the ressie, has to have the same tickets. HTH

I can confirm the one day ticket too. We have AP's but have booked the package at POP with one day tickets to get free food. I've also learned that I can take the one day tickets which we don't need and apply them to the cost of the AP renewals! I figured out the difference of the package and just getting an AP rate for the hotel and it works out to $297 so we'll have to eat at least $297 worth of food to break even -- over 9 nights this will not be a problem! And the $297 doesn't take into account using the one day tickets towards the AP renewals. Works out to be a great deal for us.

OK Fiona ... when are you going? You're probably going to be there just before we are. We don't check in until Oct 16th. But if you're going week of Aug 20th, let me know and we'll do an early "40th celebration". :teeth:

Got the same deal here. We're going from sept 12-22 ,then we figured we saved about 900$ U.S so we figured let's pamper ourselves so we booked a 3 night disney cruise from the 22 to the 25.I'm Thinking my daughters will love that ,they are 6 and 3.We're staying at the pop too.

Yup you're right Mary-Liz - we are going Oct 1st - Oct 10th. Can't unfortunately swing it in December due to work. Free dining got us there in early October. We will have to get together in December though to have a big celebration!

The free dining deal makes the most sense for us if we stay at POP and we actually like it there.

August and October??? How'd you get so lucky?
