We rented ECV from Scootarama

I promised I would post about using Scootarama for DH's ECV.

We just returned from our Thanksgiving week trip to DW. DH rented his ECV from Scootarama. The ECV was waiting for us when we checked in at CSR at 1 PM. The next morning, after waiting over 40 minutes for a bus to MK with a wheelchair lift, we decided to drive. DH called Scootarama and they easily talked us through how to take apart the scooter to put it in our van.

All in all, we were happy with our experience with Scootaram.

But apparently not so happy with the bus service at CSR? No, I know you're not complaining but did anybody bother to explain what the problem was? If one lift or ramp didn't work, I'd expect that driver to let someone in authority know that an accessible bus was needed.

We loved Scootarama, But don't care for CSR..

We had gone out to the bus stop at 8:10 (hoping to get MK early). The bus that came at 8:15 was not a normal Disney bus - it was some other company. Driver told DH he couldn't take a wheelchair and that another bus would be around in a few minutes.

I did speak with concierge staff that evening who placed a call to transportation. When I spoke with the transporation person we agreed that someone would call DH the next morning by 8 AM (so we could go to Epcot and get there early). They didn't call until we were inside Turtle Talk (after 10 AM) and DH couldn't get outside of the theater to speak with them in time.
