I was under the impression that you couldnt purchase park hoppers for 3 days directly from WDW, only thru ticketmania so I had purchased one from them. We needed an addtional one for DH so we bought one at the YC today for $159 for 3 days, no plus option. Just thought I would share for those people that need one without a plus HTH!!

That is very interesting news, thanks for sharing. Wonder what is up with this? Are you with a convention?

How did you find about about purchasing it at the YC? A 3-day hopper is exactly what we need - no "ultimate", no "plus" - just 3 days of hoppin'.

I'd definitely feel better about purchasing it from the YC than from any of the third-party vendors, too.

Wow! I'd love to be able to purchase a three day hopper, and then spend a couple of days at Universal. Is this a new pass? Is it only offered at the hotels?

Sorry it took so long for me to reply back, we are still at WDW and I haven't had time to check the board!! Upon check out from the YC (we were transferring hotels after 4 nites) I just went to the front desk and asked if they had a 3 day park hopper so DH could tag along. He looked in his computer and sure enough he said they have them. It was put on a card that looked like our room key and no we were not at a convention, just a normal trip!! However, I realized that we wanted to go to the waterpark and DS and I had plus options and since we didn't get the 3 day PH Plus for DH we had to pay the admission price, so if you are going to need a plus option, ticketmania is the way to do it since its only $20.00 more. HTH!!!

All it showed for me was the 4 or higher day hoppers. We are going to WDW for the first time in January, and a three day would work best for us too. Any suggestions???? What is YC??

Thanks, summerrluvv! That's really interesting. DH has an AP, so we were planning on getting a 3 day UPH for me, but I'd love to just get the 3 day hopper, since we are only doing the parks. We'll ask about it when we check into the YC ( in 3 1/2 weeks :p !)and see if we can get one.

Thanks for taking time out of your vacation to help. Hope you enjoy your time at WDW!

Just curious:

Did your husband actually park hop with it to see if it was in fact a park hopper?

Hmmm...now that I think about it, we only did one park for each of the three days, we didn't actually hop parks with the pass (other than the MK, but that was for MNSSHP). I do recall seeing after he swiped it and was going thru, that it did come up 3 day park hopper and something else was after it on the LCD screen they have at the turnstile (mine said 3 day park hopper 15% discount after it, and I purchased that from ticketmania) Our receipt also said 3 day park hopper, so I am pretty sure that is what it was.

For the person asking what YC is...it is the Yacht Club resort at WDW. The 3 day park hopper plus is thru a special link that mousesavers.com had, but if you read thru the posts, there was one for the link (don't have it off hand though) HTH!!

Hmmm, the only reason why I asked about the park hopping was I got to wondering about the price. You said you paid $159 for it. Disney's single day admission with tax is $53.

3x$53 is $159. Just wondered.
