We paid for our DDE card in one visit

It is good for up to 10 people...or is it 12? I can't remember (I never go to WDW with that large of a group) but it absolutely is good for your entire party. And someone else can pay, the DDE cardholder just has to be present at the table. I don't think you can do separate checks, though.

They *used to* send 2 cards, and I would get one w/my name and one with DH's name. Now, a second card is $25. It is a bit of a PITA, because my DH tried to use my card once at POR food court and they wouldn't accept it.

I wish i could get a DDE! My good friend lives in FL and she has one so when she comes to eat at Disney with us, we use hers. 5 of us went to Le Cellier and saved $56! (we ate a LOT!) but it sure makes up for it!

a larger group, four or more, that plan to eat together at nicer locations and drink wine, it may make sense to chip in for a single annual pass and the DDE card so all can save. A seven day trip with Cali Grille, Narcooses, Jiko (with wine and cocktails) and a few other TS meals would more than pay for itself. Especially if you go annually and slip the dates so two trips fit into the same 365 days.
