Hi all! My bf and I recently booked our trip to WDW. Due to time and money, we will only be there from Sunday March 13 to Wednesday March 16. We arrive at MCO on Sunday around 10AM and we leave on Wednesday around 830PM. We'll be staying at Pop Century. We're also going to be getting the military 4 day park hopper pass. My question to you all is, which park(s) to visit on which day??

I originally was going to go to MK and EP on Mon and Tues since those are our two full days but MK has EMH on Sun. But by the time we get to our room and somewhat settled, I don't think we'll be at any of the parks until 1pm on Sunday. I was also thinking maybe I should split up my days and do one park in the AM and one in the PM and finish them on another day.

I'm also thinking about subscribing to TouringPlans to help with my planning.
Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Happy planning!!:wizard:

Everyone needs a starting point: that can be

A) which park do I want to go to first....
B) I have to see this parade or this fireworks show.....
C) I really want to eat at....
D) I have to ride/see.....

my choices for the above would be:
MK I always spend the first day at MK no matter what.
Disney's Magical Electric Light parade/ and Wishes- MK
Rose and Crown in Epcot
Expedition Everest in AK and Tower of Terror in DHS

and check to see what the park hours are too!!

Let me point out that you may or may not get your room that early. I would just check in, drop my bags with bell services and off to parks. If you get to MK around 1PM and it has evening extra hours, you have plenty of time to do all major rides and a lot of not so major ones even if you had to stand in each and every line. I would probably do only Epcot and MK on a short trip, unless you really love AK and DHS.

It would be simple for me....

MK
Epcot
DHS
MK

Starting and ending with MK is pretty much a requirement for us.

No matter which park that you enter on Sunday afternoon, you are going to be going in at peak wait times, but typically crowds will lessen as the day goes on. If you are night people, night EMH is a great way to avoid the major crowds and MK could be a great option for you on Sun.
AK typically closes earlier than other parks, so we like to hit AK at rope drop and then leave midday when it gets crowded. You could always go to Jellyroll's or the Dance Hall for some nightlife at the Boardwalk (if you are over 21).
HS is definitely one that you will want to hit at rope drop so that you can ride or Fastpass the good rides and make sure that you get on the ones that you want. HS and Epcot are close so you could easily hop from HS to Epcot on the same day. Hitting HS at rope drop then going to World Showcase in the same evening is a great option.
There are benefits to going to Epcot at rope drop as well since there are some very popular rides in Future World, as well.

I highly recommend TouringPlans. We live by there advice about the order to ride the rides. It makes all the difference when avoiding long waits. You can also check the crowd calender to see if the following plan would make sense for you.

Sun.- MK EMH
Mon./Tues.- AK/Nightlife or HS/Epcot
Wed.-Epcot

My fam has done this oodles of times, so what I would recommend is cutting out your least favorite park, in my case AK. While others may tell you to avoid EMH, I would advise you to make use of them: those extra hours will draw out your disney magic and give you the opportunity to accomplish more :goodvibes

Maybe make 1 or 2 ADRs, but I'd focus most of your time in the park itself, not sitting at a restaurant. Start early and end late since you'll only be there a few days. Oh, I'd also cut out DTD.

have a great time!

I dont know how the military tickets work, but you may save $50 each by waiting to add on park hoppers until you for sure need it while you are there and about to hop

You will want a whole day at Mk and probably at Epcot and maybe even MGM and AK

for a short trip like that I dont suggest park hopping. it eats too much of your day traveling.
If you do ak and it closes at 5-6pm then maybe plan a cool dinner somewhere outside a park like hoop de doo which the money you saved on hoppers would cover

you get bored at mgm you can always visit the boardwalk area and maybe go to jellyrolls

at mgm i would suggest eating an icecream at sci fi and doing a meal at prime time

I am not an mgm fan, so for me in 4 days the hoppers would be good as I would do ak in the am and mgm in the afternoon. for me they are both half day parks, and I would do Mk or even epcot twice

That's plenty of time to have a good time.

And I assume you're also getting the military discount on your rooms, right?

Between that and the tickets, you're saving enough to really eat well! Have fun!

Thanks everyone! I am starting to rethink whether we should do AK during our 4 day trip...but Expedition Everest just looks so fun!!!

I would definately recommend going to AK. I personally love it. I think it's possible to go to all the parks on your days there, just take advantage of the EMH. We always make sure we end at the park doing the PM EMH for that day. I definately agree though, if you cant check in your room as soon as you get there, leave your bags and head to the parks :)
