My DD's Kindergarten class is having a 100th day of school celebration. They are supposed to make something with 100 items. The teacher listed some examples - make students name with 100 cheerios, put 100 items in a bottle with water (like a snow globe)

I want my DD to choose what she would like to do, but I need to give her a few suggestions. Anyone creative people have some ideas for us????

Melinda

My son did this as well.

A few items.. were 100 things in my room... whether it be Barbie shoes/lego, baseball cards, etc. It was everything you can think of.

We did 100 craft sticks with each group of ten in a different color.

I saw a clever no cost one... IKEA has paper measuring sticks which are 100 centimeters long. Cut each centimeter out... learning... distance, and numbers!

You should go to the party store where they have different kinds of confetti...usually shiny plastic material. Get something related to the winter...Valentine's day... Or what about Mickey head confetti nothing better than that!!!

Great ideas!!!! I think she will love the Mickey confetti idea. She is just like her Mom and loves Disney!!!!

I've seen some very creative ones, too. A few that come to mind now are 100 crayons glued in a circle (kinda looks like a sunshine), or 100 cotton balls in the shape of the American flag (colored red, white and blue) or 100 candies ( usually very colorful display) It was fun seeing how creative everyone is.

My Dd also did this project. She opted for the Valentine Conversation Hearts (the large ones)

she lined them up in rows of 10, the same color in each row and glued them to a white poster board. It was really cute.

Does she have a favorite candy? There's a lot you can do with 100 .... skittles or gummy bears or licorice sticks or even bite-size
snickers. My DD made a tower with snickers held together with toothpicks because she is a snickers nut !!!!

DS did this 2 years ago....he took 100 qtips and made a log cabin with them. He glued construction paper and then the qtips to a medium-size juice carton. It didn't look as nice as some of the other projects, but I am proud to say he did it all himself.

I hope DD gets to do it this year!

How about making a rainbow or some flowers with M&Ms or Skittles?

One of my nephews did 100 pennies to make a dollar.

I've seen lots of the ones that have been named. I also liked the 100 colored paperclips that had been linked into a chain. Another girl took 100 buttons and made a necklace. My daughter remembers 100 dice or marbles in a jar. Something built out of 100 toothpicks or sugar cubes is also an idea.
