Hi there.. We are in the beignning stages of planning a summer Vacation for this summer to DisneyLand.:yay: . we live in Northern Cali.. we have 3 boys, 8 and 3, and we have a 1 y/o daughter... we would love any tips on planning and what should we see, and pretty much everything..

Thanks
~A~

We are in Nor Cal too. With 8 and 3 year old boys, I imagine you want to do the Jedi Training Academy. Its a very well done production, and my 6 year old Star Wars fan loved it.

Also with kids, I would bring a backpack of stuff to stash in a locker. You are probably planning on this anyway, since your youngest is in diapers. We have found that keeping changes of clothes for the kids (you never know what might happen) and extra snack food and water is well worth the cost of the locker rental fee.

On our first trip my youngest LOVED the Winnie the Pooh ride. She was about 22 months at the time. We had to ride it over and over.....it made me love the ride and I still have such a soft spot for it. Since Small World will be closed, this might be one of your youngest's favorites as well!

I hope you have a wonderful time!!!

Welcome to the board, how many days do you plan on visting DL? If you have numerous days then you shouldn't have a problem at all seeing and doing everything that you want to do. The best rides for kids that age are gonna be the rides in fantasyland with peter pan and mr. toads being my two favorite rides at DL. Also Nemo is a MUST SEE! Great ride for people of all ages. Any questions please feel free to ask.

awww, im soo excited.. DH and I Have been talkign about it for a very long time, and with that rebate thing, were gonna do it, none of us have ever been to DL, we are just soo excited

Our boys first trip...well that they remember....we booked a package and received the Toontown tickets. My kids loved that show. If you book thru Costco they are giving you a free character breakfast and a $20.00 gift card too. If we weren't getting our Ap's we would book thru them. We also splurged this last December and stayed with the kids at the paradise pier concierge level and it was worth it to us. We are a family of 5 and with the breakfast, snacks, water, milk (we have a 1 yr old and would stock up on the milk, and store it in the fridge for him :) and apple juice..oh and appetizers at night.
We would even grab extra crustables (PB&j) and the boys would sometimes have them in the evening when we came back. Our boys even picked out a Disney movie to watch every night it was nice :)
I would also suggest the Discover the magic tour---we did that this past December too and the kids had a blast.

I also agree with the others :) Jedi training is a must :)

One thing we did was purchased some pj's and shirts from the disney outlet online. (We don't have a disney store anywhere near us) Every night we would place something out on the bed and the kids thought Mickey Mouse brought them something everynight. (We found t-shirts and pj's for $3-6 each--they have some good deals online)
I hope you have a great trip :)

Make sure to plan for afternoon breaks :) Are you staying on site?
