I can't believe this stuff isn't out there yet.

Which Charlie Brown?

We've got the usual holiday specials (Christmas, Halloween, etc.) on DVD. Got it a couple years ago as a set. :)

What do you mean :confused3 There are several Charlie Brown dvd's

We have Thanksgiving, Christmas, Great Pumpkin, etc.

Oh wow, I think we own like every Charlie Brown VHS there is!! My kids used to watch CB constantly when they were younger (3 and 5), but now they just sit on the shelf, passed over for Lilo & Stich 2 or The Incredibles! LOL

I recall you're not a big Amazon fan from one of your other threads, but they carry all the Peanuts DVD's. I'm sure most every other entertainment retailer has them also.

Really? Local video store didn't have any and Netfilix has just one, but even that one isn't one of the classic Charlie Browns.

Actaully I love amazon.... but had problems with that one particular order... 3 weeks to come. Always said it was in stock.

Maybe I need to search "Peanuts" on Netflix.

Hmmm...well, the holiday ones have been out on dvd for a few years now...don't know if that's what you're talking about or not. :wave2:

There's a whole mess of them on the Columbia House site.

Not every piece produced is on DVD yet, but it's obvious you didn't do much of a search. Over 75% of the shorts are on DVD.

If there is a problem it is the price Paramount and the others want for these DVD's. The prices are on average much higher than other similar DVD's.

What they have failed to do so far is create a complete box set that actually is priced like a box set. The holiday special box set for example is simply the sperate releases boxed together and basically the same price as the singles. A new box set ala the recent Hanna Barbara releases would be very welcome and would sell like hot cakes if priced correctly.

Like I said... I checked the local video store and Netflix.

Overstock and Amazon both have several. I know that Walmart and Target also carry some of the titles :flower:

cardaway - why the hostility :confused3

You need to search the web for my most favorite Charlie Brown which, as it turns out, was never aired on TV. A couple of guys took the song "Hey Ya" and used it as a soundtrack for clips from "A Charlie Brown Christmas". It is one of the funniest things that I've ever seen. If you search for "Hey Ya, Charlie Brown", you might find it floating around the web. I know that the copyright holders of Charlie Brown were none too thrilled with the video, but I think that it really paid homage to the original cartoons. It is yet another case where the line between fair use and copyright is blurred.

If you check Internet Movie Database for Charlie Brown, you should be able to find links to all of the available DVDs and VHS versions of that material. Another place to check would be www.dvdpricesearch.com

Hostility? I was giving the correct info to people who may want these DVD's, or would want to know that Netlfix does carry them.

Yeah, they're too busy selling out to advertisers and theme parks. ;)

Be sure to search "Snoopy" as well. A few of the titles don't mention Charlie Brown including my favorite "Snoopy Come Home". The best way to find them IMO is to seach IMDB for Bill Melendez who was involved with almost every project at some level, most of them as at least the voice of Snoopy and Woodstock.

Hey Papa, we are no longer in need of a bouncer or a DJ...the Lounge is gone. Thanks for your hard work.
