We need a Bachelorette thread!

There was a large cornfield behind the house. I thought I saw someone walking thru it. When she emerged it was an elderly woman...walking. Everyone spoke and wave to her. It was Miss So and So and she was coming back from dialysis....

Thru the cornfield????.....

But he didn't look like Chris... I'd think twice now since I'm a lot more reserved than I was back then.:cloud9:
....at least it wasn't 'children of the corn'.....popcorn::

No one tells me how to feel about anyone either. I think Nick is super smarmy. Creepy. It's not jumping on the bandwagon. It's that there is something there that obviously makes a lot of people feel the same way.

I think the farmer will be toast the first time she steps her Louis Vuitton shoe into cow manure. :crazy2: :p
I thing that the farmer is just there as a filler. I can't see Andi living on a farm out in the middle of no where.

While Nick is not my favorite there must be something that she sees in him since he got the first impression rose also. He reminds me of my nephew whom I've found out some disappointing things about here recently. He's also a sales man by the way.

I did notice that Andi instigated kissing with her first two one on one dates Monday night. Josh and the other guy, can't remember his name.

Anyone else really glad that Chris said the "opportunity to be a homemaker" thing as a joke and that he clearly thinks she should continue in law???

I just got in. Did I miss anything good? How was the hometown visit with Chris? Your post sounds like she went there already. :hyper:

If she doesn't pick Chris, she is totally stupid, brainless, crazy, mindless. He's everything and much like my husband, who left the farm before I met him. She would be deliriously happy with such a smart, happy, man. He's not so hard on the eyes either, eh? Yes, I have a crush on Chris. :/

is she like...really like... inarticulate for... like an attorney? Like one of like the Kardashians with a degree? Driving me like CRAZY.

Marcus' mother reminds me of Ariana Huffington. Even the accent is almost the same.

If I was back in college, I would set up a drinking game that required us to drink with each 'like'. We would all be plastered by the first commercial!

This show made me cry tonight. Them finding out about Eric tonight was heartbreaking. How difficult that must have been.

I loved the interaction with Andi and Chris' family. Chris is my favorite. I'm really hoping that it's him in the end. I think they would be great together. His family is so down to earth. From the little bit we got to see of them, they really do seem like amazing people.

Ugh. That was tough. Truly the most sad Bachelorette episode ever.

Nooooooooooooooooo! My favorite is gone! :sad2: big mistake on her part.

I liked Chris's family too. I thought it was interesting how they went out of their way to assure Andi that he is a successful businessman, and not "just a farmer". (Not that there's anything wrong with it...)

I used to live exactly twelve miles from his farm. :scared1: I'm still in the midwest, but could NEVER live that far out in the country again. We are culturally challenged here in No. Il., but that is a whole different way of life. She would not want to drive to "Cedar Rapids for work" in the winter there... just for starters. I will say... if she did this, she could get a reality show of her own out of the experience.

I was surprised she kept Chris. I just don't see her as ever seriously contemplating living that life - successful businessman farmer or no.

Good thought on the show idea, though.

I'm coming in late ... I watched Nick's and Chris' dates. I actually liked Nick's date. His family was definitely very Wisconsin. They live about 90 minutes from me and we have been to Waukesha many times. The high school pool is my DD's favorite in the state.

I don't see Andi with Chris. He's sweet but his farm is really too far away from anything. It's over an hour to Cedar Rapids where he said she could get a job.

Josh's date didn't go well either. I think it was because his family was more transfixed on his brother's football draft rather than Andi. She was not the center of attention.

Heading into Marcus' date and I think that while Josh had the warmest reception, Nick had the best date so far.

ETA: I didn't see any spark with Marcus. I'm not surprised she sent him home.

Onto the "nookie suite"! I read something on the cover of an entertainment magazine that would be interesting if it's true :).

I was thinking the same thing. I really liked Nick's family as well as Chris'. But I liked Chris' mom the best.

I too don't see Andi with Chris. Though she claims to enjoy the outdoors, come winter I don't think that she will want to be out in the middle of nowhere.

I'm not sure about Josh. They do focus too much on sports. And like the younger sister said, there will be fighting over it.

As far as Marcus, I did like him but his hometown date seemed shorter than the others. I could see her picking Marcus just because of where he lived.

At this point I think her best pick would be Nick. I haven't cared for him but I really liked his hometown date.

I guess it's all relative on where one lives and what one is used to. In L.A. and NYC, an hour to an hour & a half commute to work is normal. And now, with all the hands free gadgets one can have in the car, Andi can get quite a lot of work done while driving. She can do dictation, call her assistant on the cell phone, listen to court briefs, etc.
