We need a Bachelorette thread!

Wow! What a coincidence! Group date where they had to strip down? Even though they weren't comfortable with it? And then afterwards one got totally wasted and got the boot?

Someone needs to remind the script writers that is the exact same storyline they did LAST SEASON!!!

I was really bothered by the exotic dancing date. I was especially bothered that Andi was NOT bothered by the producers coming up with a date something similar to her Animal Society photo shoot. She mentioned it off-hand but they whooped and hollered while the guys bumped and grinded (ground, LOL?). Can you say "double standard"? Also, it seemed really mean for her to dump one of the guys she singled out for a solo dance. Poor Nick S. danced his robot off and then was told to hit the road. Do you think it was because he jumped in the pool with Craig? I did think his exit interview was a hoot.

Along with the former bachelor/ette that just SHOWS UP :smokin:

The crying/wailing "I'm SERIOUS about this" speech

The one drunk bachelor/ette

The 2 African American "tokens" :rolleyes1

and the inevitable pot stirrer/tattletale :stir:

Look forward to them every year!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: No more "tokens", we need an African American bachelor/ette!

I don't even hear the "y'all"s, since I am a southern gal and everyone says that word all the time around here.

The thing she says that bugs me is "staaaap it!" every time one of the guys says something either funny, complimentary, or interesting. Stop it, Andi. :rolleyes1

On the ABC site the Y'all and STOP threads are hysterical!! These are the titles of just a few

From Ess Okay to Y'all

"Stawwwp" the new "Eez ok" ?

Stooooop (st-ahhhhhh-p)

Y'all

"I wanna thank all y'all..." "Stop."
:lmao:

I think they were "testing the waters" when they had a latin bachelor... and we all know how THAT WENT :rolleyes1

I don't know if I'd enjoy it because I'd be way more judgmental with based on the way they're portrayed. We'll have to see. There was a woman petitioning to be the first AA bachelorette, don't know if she is still trying:

The guy in your signature is available again ... just sayin' :scratchin.

Yes, Andi saying y'all so many times is beginning to irritate me. Maybe we should make a drinking game out of how many times she says it.

It seems to be this season's most over-used word, like when Des said "amazing" all the time. Jimmy Kimmel actually made a video, one season, of how many times the word "amazing" was said. I think it was up to 42 times. :lmao:

OMG it really bothers me too! I know she lives in Atlanta but she has no southern accent at all, so to me her saying "Ya'll" just really sounds annoying. I cringe every time she says it.

There are a LOT of people that are from Atlanta that don't have southern accents. Many are kids of transplants from the Midwest or northeast, so they have their parents speech patterns. Some "turn off" their accents for their jobs. I moved to Atlanta as a 9 year old, so I don't sound southern- but I have lived in the south almost 40 years. I definitely think of myself as a southern gal!

Most everyone says y'all once they have lived in the south more than a year or two. It might sound weird or fake to those who don't live in the south, but to those of us that do, we think nothing of it.

So I finally got caught up watching Monday night's show, including the lap dances. Chris seems so sweet, but I'll bet it does't take long before Andi decides he's just friend material. Besides, he seems like he'd be kind of "clingy" to me. Nice guy, but …..

I hardly know anyone with a Southern accent here in Atlanta but I work in broadcasting and it's not very prevalent in my field. Most of my friends are from the midwest, lots of people from Ohio and Michigan, and ALL of my family members are from the Northeast.

But we ALL say y'all~!! :lmao:
