We are in the beginning phase of planning a huge family trip to WDW. They will be 24 of us! We need at least 3 masters. Any suggestions? We just got back from Windsor Hills and loved it. We are willing to try other resorts and don't mind a 20 min or so ride to parks. Thanks in advacne for any help!!

We booked a 7-bedroom villa about 25 min out for our family of 15. We went through www.vrbo.com. You can get it to sort according to how many the house/condo sleeps. I've gone through VRBO for several vacations (not just Disney) and have had great experiences each time.

With 24 of you, you will need two homes as the occupancy limits will not allow 24 people in one home. You may want to look for two 6 or 7 bedroom homes close to each other.

Emerald Island has a number of larger 6 and 7 bedroom homes.

I'd book 3+ units at Vistana or similar resort. It's a bit more carefree than vacation homes; you can get daily housekeeping, with that many people there's bound to be some resentment about people doing their share of the chores - and there are chores at a vacation home. With a large group 3 units that sleep 8 is the minimum; click the sponsor link at the top for pricing, Vistana will run about $1000 per unit for the week.

This kind of arrangement allows for a lot more flexibility and privacy. Perhaps some of the more solitary members of the crew would prefer to get a single bed or studio unit and have a bit of privacy when needed. It also allows different age groups to hang out at different pools so they can have a bit of space.

Last January we went to WDW with 10 people (8 adults and 2 kids). We stayed in a 5br/4.5ba house in Legacy Park in Davenport. It was about a 20 minute drive to the parks. The house had 3 master bedrooms ensuite, plus two brs each with two twins that shared a hall bath. There were two living areas downstairs and one upstairs with a sofa bed. The house was perfect for 10 people. Everybody had their own space to go to if they had enough visiting, and there was enough space for us all to be together, too.

If you could get two houses close together, it would probably work out great.

We've stayed at wonderful WH homes before but one huge house we stayed at in 2006 (?) with absolute top of the line everything was this one in Formosa Gardens - I found a link:

This development had other big houses. No public pool but the house pool was awesome with a zero entry. 4 masters, 3 kids rooms. We had room for 8 adults, 4 kids with a ton of room left over - we never even went in one room. So many kids things, everything was so nice - and I am incredibly picky!!!! I can even tell some of the things have been updated - the one room used to have bunk beds and the theatre is new - it used to be a garage/playroom.
