We LOVED AS Movies!

Just got back last night and wanted to write a quick report as there never seem to be many for this resort. We were two adults who usually stay at Pop as our Value but thought to give Movies a try.

We LOVED it. We got "upgraded" to dalmations, building 4. We got our two requests of the top floor and no parking lot view. Our room was spotless, we had a towel mickey on arrival, beds were comfie and had a ton of pillows. Our room was quiet, we heard no one (we even got a corner room) and easy walking distance to the food court which we also loved. Food Court had great food, and plenty of it. We loved the store and the bus system worked well for the most part, only sharing with the other AS resorts a couple of times.

We loved the scenery and would totally recommend it. Any questions?

Have the rooms been updated at all like they are at Sports and Music? We stayed at Sports this last trip in a redone room and it was fantastic, but we spent a lot of time eating over at Movies, so we booked Movies for bounceback next Sept. Just wondering on the room decor . . . TIA!

Thanks for the report! As you say....you never see much about ASmo on here. I have always thought of giving it a try and since you gave such a positive review, we may give it a shot sometime.

We'll be there for a 1 night stay and continuing on to AKL for 7 add'l nights. I've never stayed in a Value so i decided on ASMo cuz my DD2 loves the Dalmatians. When she saw them on the resort website, she lit up so we knew that's where we would spend our 1 night.

I stayed there Sept 5 to 13 on my first solo trip. I got a ground floor room in Toy Story just behind "Woody". It was quiet and close enough to the food court that I could walk over and fill up my mug anytime I wanted.

The view was of a think patch of trees - I knew there was a parking lot a couple of hundred yards away, but I couldn't see it. I, too, had no problems with the buses. When I went to MK or AK at the popular times they were crowded, but not unmanageable. A few afternoons I popped back for a shower and twice I was on the bus with only a couple of other people.

I loved it. Clean, quiet and comfortable. And really convenient.

This is great to hear... I came on here looking for info on the Movies. My parents just booked a stay there. I love the way the resort looks. Thanks for posting about it.

Stayed at all stars movies November 2005 and going back this November, we totally enjoyed it and it was perfect for us.

We are staying at Movies for the first time this Christmas. January 1st, we'll go to Pop for 5 days.

I liked the look of Disney more at Movies. Seems to be all Disney. Can't wait!

Glad to hear it....we are doing a split stay between SSR and Movies in Oct. We figured our little ones would love it and we got one heck of a deal with the AP disc. It will be our first stay in a value and I cannot wait.
