We like to stay 9 or 10 days. Could this be a strategy?

I'm new, so be kind...

If I wanted 10 number of days in a 2 BR, at a specific resort, and only the first 7 are available, could I book the remaining days in a smaller unit, say a 1 BR, and wait list the other days for the 2 BR?

I'm thinking that if the waitlist didn't come through, yes, we'd have to move, but it would be in the same resort (easier, I would think than changing resorts.)

If you do move in the same resort, do you not have a room for 5 hours or so, on move day?

Yes, you can waitlist the remaining 3 days. If it doesnt come through you probably would not have a room for most of the transfer day. But you can store your luggage and go off to the park or pool - pack a day bag. Since you can have 2 waitlists at once, you can also waitlist the whole stay in another resort in a 2 br- i'd pick a large resort and a room category with a large number of units.

Yes, you would be homeless between check out time and when your new room is ready. I don't find it any easier than changing resorts. The only difference is bell services doesn't have to drive your luggage anywhere else. So easier for them. For the visitor, I don't think it makes any difference. We would just go to a park for the day and when we're done, go to the 2nd resort. I think it's a fine plan, but no harder or easier than changing resorts.
