I'm so excited!! I'll spend today packing and getting ready, and we should be there by early afternoon tomorrow!!

I'm a little bummed by the weather forcast. This is our third trip this year, and we've had disappointing weather each trip.

We took our neices at the end of April - expecting gorgeous spring weather. Thanks to a heat wave the temps hit 100 degrees almost every day! :scared1:

We were there in October, and even though the temps weren't quite as extreme, it was quite warm, too warm for me to wear my Jack Skellington sweathsirt. :sad1:

And now as we leave for our final trip this year, nothing but rain in the forcast!! :sad2:

So I'd like to apologize to anyone visiting the DLR resort at the same time as me, or any Anaheim area residents out there, as I must be a SoCal weather jinx!!!

I'm trying to look on the bright side. Since it's my birthday trip and we got the great AP8 rate of $249, we are staying at the GCH. So if it does rain all day, I have a better chance of talking my "go go go" DH into just hanging out at the hotel, and enjoying the lobby, and the hot tub!!

Also, given that DL is open till 11 every night we are there, I'm thinking they expect big crowds. So hopefully even the threat of rain will keep some folks away.

Even with the rain and the crowds, I'm still sooo excited!! This is only our second trip to DL at Christmastime, and there's nothing else like it!! :santa:

Hope to see a few Dis'ers there!! Just look for a girl in a Jack Skellington sweatshirt, I will for sure be wearing it on this trip!!!!

Buy a couple of DL ponchos and enjoy it! I know what you mean about the weather bummer. It's rained the last few years that I have gone to DL in January. Last January it rained like crazy. We still have fun, but of course it would be more fun w/ beautiful weather. I'll take the cold and rain over the 100 degree heat any day of the week! :scared: Have fun!:yay:

Honestly, it may be a blessing in disguise! Typically, when the weather forecasters say that we're going to have a "week of rain", it usually means off and on. So I think you'll have plenty of spots of decent weather.

The best part is that it WILL keep the crowds down! We went on the day before Thanksgiving with rain forecasted and had close to no wait on most of the lines!

It will be cool though, so be prepared!

Yayyyyyy!!! Happy happy birthday to you!

Stacielee is coming this week too--I am supposed to meet up with her on
Wednesday-(rain rain stay away!)

Maybe we'll see you!

Oh yay! I will definitely keep an eye out for you guys!! Wednesday is my actual birthday, so I'll be wearing a button!

I'd love to hear more about your trip to WDW. We ended up booking a trip for Feburary with the 7 for 4 deal at AKL!

Also, I thought about you a couple of weekends ago... My DH and I went up to the Legends and had dinner at the Yardhouse!! :thumbsup2 It was too cold to enjoy the lovely patio, but we still had fun! :drinking1

Thanks for the encourging words! :goodvibes

I am still going to bring a couple pairs of capris (wishful thinking) but I'm bringing jeans and sweatshirts too, just to be prepared.

We had a decent sized snow here early in the week, so I'm thinking even mid 50s will feel good to me!
