We Leave tomorrow for Christmas with the mouse!!Updated 12/21

We have planned our next (4th) Disney World Vacation for December 21st-Dec 26th. This trip was schedule for December 27-Jan 2nd but circumstances have changed allowing us to spend Christmas in our most favorite place.. This trip was supposed to be a surprise however Dh & I unintentionally spilled the beans yesterday when we thought DS was asleep he overheard everything and of course told DD right away. So they know and are exstatic, they can't wait! DD has started a countdown on her calander. I got a pretty good deal on our flight $870.00 for 4 of us roundtrip on southwest compared to $2000 or more at other airlines I pretty satisfied. This will be DD & DS first time flying & they are super excited.
So here are the plans and they will not be changing again.

Me: Jessica, I teach preschool and am in school majoring in Nursing. I am the Disney fanatic of our family but the rest of them are Disney fans as well. I am the planner of our family, I have planned all our vacations and this one is no different.

DH: Adam is a student majoring in Civil Engineering and works for an optical company. He also plays bass for a local band Droplist. He likes Disney and our July trip was the 1st time he was able to visit all the parks.

DD: Brianna is 7 she's in the 2nd grade and is an absolute princess. She is a little me she loves everything disney, she is a competetive cheerleader and a gymnast. She is my planning assistant . This pic is from our 2007 Trip, I will put updated ones on soon

DS: Jordan is 10 he is in the 4th grade, he plays basketball & football. He loves Disney World! His favorite park is Hollywood Studios and he loves the areosmith rollercoaster & Tower of Terror. This pic is from our 2007 Trip

So I haven't gotten much done today. I have an Anatomy Exam this week and have been trying to study but am having a hard time concentrating, Must be the disney vacation planning excitement .

So I was doing some online shopping ,well really I was supposed to studying, and I ordered DD & DS some really cute lanyards & pins. They've never done Pin trading so I thought they might like to.


Adam told his parents/grandparents that we decided to go to Disney for Christmas, lets just say that conversation didn't go very well. They are not very happy that we will not be here for Christmas. But really let's weigh the two choice Stay in Indiana in the yucky snow and cold weather hanging out at his grandparents very small & overcrowded house or go to Florida with much more favorable weather and visit our (well mine, DD & DS's) favorite place to be Disney World. Yeah thats a real competition . Grandma asked him to move our trip back (yeah right!) He told them he had to talk to me (he has the hardest time telling Grandma No!) I told him out of question. Were both satisfied with that answer.
My parents have not been told yet that we won't be here for Christmas (which I usually host), don't think thats going to go much better!

So lack of studying as much as I should have didn't affect my grade I got an A on my Anatomy Exam which is great!

On to Vacation news so I am trying very hard to make this a very memorable Vacation as this will be the last one just the four us. Adam & I start the IVF process in January and hopefully I will be pregnant shortly after. Brianna wants to eat at CRT so bad however I am having zero luck getting an ADR.. I did get her breakfast at 1900 park fare with Mary Poppins (Who I love) and Alice in wonderland (Who Brianna loves) so I hope that its fun we have never been and I really hope she likes it.

Also this PTR may become 2 as I also booked a girls only trip for DD & Me for her 8th birthday in February. DS & DH are going for a boys trip in June for DS birthday but they are going to Universal Studios.

So I have gotten Zero planning done today as I have been in class all morning.

woohoo we are under 50 days!!!! 48 Days to Go!!!

So I got the polo's I ordered for DD & DS yesterday there pretty cute. I also went this weekend to get them some little surprises for the plane ride, as I am sure they are going to be cranky our plane leaves at 6:45 and we live around 2 hours from the Indy airport. I got them some mickey mouse coloring felts, mickey mouse wipe boards, and I bought them Ipods, and they will each get to pick a book, hopefully these will be good distractions.

So having nothing to do with planning or our vacation, but a liitle to do with Disney World, DD had gymnastics last night and it left me really angry. She is a level one this is her 1st year and most of the girls are in her age group in fact all but three are on the mini-team cheer squad with her, but anyways there is a girl who is quite a bit older my DD is 7 this girl is 13, she has twice now assualted my DD a few weeks ago she yanked her by her hair, and last night she yanked her back by her shirt choking her. So I talked to her coach who seems to think she is just playing and it's not that big a deal. I am so mad I got so frustrated I just got DD and left.( Another mom told me DD is not the first one this girl has decided to put her hands on) There is however a positive outcome we are now looking at a new gym called Ice and there teams travel to disney for competition,(All stars not Pop Warner) DD was so excited that she would get to perform at Disney World so we go to a trial at the new Gym tomorrow hope we like it!!!

Back to Vaction planning:

So I still need to schedule DD for BBB, she really wants to do it. I need to make an ADR for our Christmas Night Dinner still trying to figure out where we want to eat. I need to order Ds some new lugage I bought him some last year but it has seemed to disappear I've looked absolutely everywhere.

So today I went and picked Brianna up the rest of the books in the Judy Moody series that she likes reading. I am planning on making them each a surprise bag full of stuff for them to do on the plane we do have a 2 1/2 hour layover in Chicago on are return flight. So I'm sure this stuff will come in handy.

On unrelated news Brianna loved the new Gym we are just trying to figure out the best time to make the transition as we are in the middle of Competition season (1 comp and 1 performance in the next 2 weeks) and really don't want to effect the performance of our current Gym.

So I told my Family were going to Disney for Christmas they took it well, my older sister did mention that you go there all the time, whats the big deal! Can't you find anywhere else to go! She totally doesn't get it! She has been twice once before I was born and 9 years ago on her Honeymoon. She has three kids 15,14 & 10 and they've never been, I told her to take them and she'd see what the Big Deal is.

So I have been looking at resort Pictures and saw some really nice ones of POFQ at christmas so I'm trying to talk DH into upgrading to it. I usually get my way and this time won't be different. So im sure we will be upgrading in the next day or two.

I do have a question though how do you celebrate Christmas day at Disney World? I've never been anywhere but home on Christmas Day so this is really new to me, and I want make sure Christmas Morning is a wonderful and special experience for DD & DS!

Yesterday was a scary day for my family. My sister is stationed at Ft. Hood and it took me a few hours to get a hold of her after we heard the news about shots being fired. I am so relieved she is safe! My family is praying from the wounded soldiers and the families of those who lost their lives.

After a long discussion we decided to upgrade however not to POFQ but to CBR! We have never stayed there and we are super excited!! I agreed to CBR instead of POFQ because DD & I are staying there in Feb for her Girls Only 8th b-day trip!Dh is on the phone right now changing our reservation!!

I'm enjoying reading your report. My family and I are going to the World for Dec 19-25. We've gone lots of times==we own DVC-=but this is our first Christmas trip. Our trip is a surprise,so far, if we don't slip. We're staying at Beach Club Villas--another first. I can't wait to get our Magical Express stuff, it sould be any day.

One Month from today!!!!!!!!!!!! So my sister who is stationed at Fort Hood in Texas, we dont see each other that often anymore she used to live 3 hours away and we visited each other at least twice a month, is thinking about joining us for christmas with my 2 nephews and niece. My nephews are 6 and 2 and my niece is 5, this will be their first trip, I so hope they can come! Unrelated to Disney I do get to have my niece and nephews for thanksgiving, I get to pick them up today (from their dads) and keep them until the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

If they go my mom and my younger sister will also be joining us which is not necessarily the best news. My mom can be a bit overbearing and shows obvious favortism toward my son, this tends to really make my DH mad. She really tries to play Mommy to him which always upsets me, my last trip with her was in 2008 and it didn't go over to great, infact it was a complete nightmare. My younger sister is very high maintence and infact a spoiled brat, she is 26 and still lives at home with my parents, has never had a job, sits at home all day doing nothing and gets whatever she wants. She has what I like to call Princess Syndrome! She drives me crazy! I'm not sure how I am going to handle this, probably just keep my distance, but I'm thinking this might end badly!!!

So in the last two weeks this trip has been cancelled and I just rebooked. We had a family situation that caused us to cancel our trip however things have changed and while we had to make some changes we are atleast still going. So our new information is:

When: Dec 22nd-25th

So we had to make it a shorter trip due to family obligiations but better a short trip then no trip.

This is now a surprise trip we aren't letting the kids know we rebooked. We dont plan on telling them anything, but I bet they'll figure it out when we get to the airport!!!

So we leave in 7 days!!! Now I have to start packing for the four of us!! Wonder what the weather will be like when we are there, Guess I better check that out too! Canceling and rescheduling our trip has really messed me up I have to start all over and this is finals week so I don't know how I'm going to get every thing done!

I ordered Disney Gift Cards today for the kids so they'll have their own money to spend. I got the suit case out today and hid them in my bedroom hopefully they dont find them. I hope to start packing Tomorrow. Today I take my last two finals so that should make the rest of the week less hectic.
