Oh! I'm so excited we leave Thursday (early morning!) and I'm beside myself with last minute plans! I'm hoping that you Dis Pro's will just give me a last minute "shout out" if you will with final thoughts on:

Helpful tips
Fav rides
Fav snacks in the parks
Must see's
Fav firework displays
Good "take a break" rest areas in parks
Good things to bring

I've looked all over these Dis boards for the past month and I could NOT have planned this trip without you guys so THANK YOU!

BTW- We are staying offsite, so we don't plan on leaving our parks midday. We will find nice shadey places to rest or grab a bite (this was suggested by the boards too!). ALso it's just hubby and I going (we ARE the kids!). He's NEVER been to Disney and I haven't been since 1982!

---------OK------------------

I have a decent itinerary plotted out with some PS reservations already made. The restaurants we are reserved at are:

House of Blues Gospel Brunch (6/6 Sun morning!)
Fulton's
Sci-Fi Drive-In
Coral Reef

Entertainment: We bought Friday night tix to La Nouba!

Transportation:
Towncar pick-up from our house 4am Thurs to LaGuardia (6:30am flight)
Tiffany Town Car RT service is reserved for Airport/hotel transport.
Using hotel shuttle busses to parks, and using taxi's to get back late at night from Pleasure Island (we have alloted for that in our budget :)

Park Days:
Thursday 6/3: Epcot
Friday 6/4: Magic Kingdom (fri night Fulton's/La Nouba)
Saturday 6/5: MGM
Sunday: 6/6: Not sure - maybe Animal Kingdom part of day/back to Epcot
Monday 6/7: Not sure again! We don't have to be back at hotel till 5pm for car pick-up to airport (7pm flight back home)!

We are buying the 5 Park Hopper Plus tix at Concierge desk at hotel (they are cheaper than at gate of Disney)

Rides we plan on doing:
Tower of Terror (by the way - I'm SCARED to death of this one, but I've read the boards and non-rollercoaster folks are saying they liked it so I'm TRUSTING y'all!!!!!!!!!)
Thunder Mountain RC
Space Mountain (oh dear, scared of this one too but think I need to do it - any thoughts on how bad this one really is???)
Splash Mountain
Honey I shrunk the audience.
oh and a bunch more, i can't think and my fingers are cramped from typing all this :)

Thoughts, suggestions - honestly THANK YOU to everyone that answered my 4zillion questions on this board this past month.

You all rock!

:wave2: much Disney love from New York City,

I leave two weeks from this coming Thursday!! Can hardly wait!!

All I can tell you is have a great trip!!!!

Helpful tips- Take time to smell the roses. Try sitting in WS in the ealy evening and people watch with a snack. My favorite way to soak it up!
Fav rides Love Thunder Mountain! and the Safari. I won't tell you what I think of TOT though! I also love the Malestrom in Norway.
Fav snacks in the parks Anything chocolate. Chocolate chip cookies in Main Street Bakery are the best.
Must see's LOVE LOVE illuminations and Off Kilter.
Fav firework displays Illuminations
Good "take a break" rest areas in parks- I like WS on a bench near France. I also think hopping on the momorail to visit hotels is nice too. Relaxing and a good way to see other resorts. You can do this from WS in Epcot too. Use the International gateway near the UK and visit the YC BC and BW.
Good things to bring Lots of water, comfortable shoes and lots of spending money to buy the good stuff!
Have fun!

We're right behind you! We'll probably be arriving while you're at the Gospel Breakfast at HOB! Kiss Mickey for me and tell him I'll see him on the 6th!

WATER!!::yes:: Its going to be very HOT! Do Fastpass it will save you time.;) Have a great trip.

We leave in 8 days- celebrating with you... :)

Take a midafternoon break and nap every day (except AK)- you can thank me when you get back :)

You don't say where you are staying. I am assuming offsite given that you are getting discounted tix at the hotel. It is EMH and Star Wars weekend at MGM Saturday. If you aren't onsite, I would rethink this.

If you are onsite, use EMH for at least the MK and AK. EMH or not, get to the parks 30 minutes before they open and get the major attractions out of the way before the masses arrive. Tour until lunchtime, then leave for a long break and return late afternoon/early evening. If you are offsite, find out EMH days for each park and go to a different one.

Gospel Brunch is a great way to praise Him! (Seminary student here :)) Get there 30 minutes early if you are going to the AM brunch- it is ALWAYS more crowded (usually full). We go to the second one per recommendations from those that work at the HOB. Sit close to the front if you want to rejoice on stage. I have been pulled up and it is a blast! Go to the made-to-order lines first while others are getting their bearings or walking through the buffet lines.

Blessings,

You have a good plan and are going to have a great time.Just be flexible so if you need to change or fine tune them, you can.:wave2:

Have a basic plan, but take time to smell the roses and enjoy each other. IMHO, if that's all you remember, you'll have a magical time!!!

DisneyWorld is so wonderful and relaxing w/o the kids. Just remember, you'll never do "it all", so don't try. Enjoy each other and have fun!!! :sunny:

See if you can fit the "SpectroMagic" parade and the Wishes fireworks (both at MK) into your schedule... you won't regret it!!....P

Yes, don't forget wishes it's a teary eyed one for me, gets me everytime... great show. Out of the PS's we did not enjoy SCI-FI or Coral Reef, very plain food, thought CR was overpriced for servings, etc. But I have heard from others they enjoyed it, so don't take my word alone, but we really enjoy Ohana's and we also liked Norway and CP... all nice places, Norway is a steal... only $13 a person for lunch... great deal!
Some don't miss rides are:
RNR Coaster
Pooh (sooo cute!)
Space Ship Earth is a nice "break" ride, cold, long and no line most times
The shows at AK, Lion king is the best in all of WDW IMO

Snacks, Beaver Tails... yum in Canada... only $3.00 too!!

Hints: Dress light (no black shirts or shorts, even shoes, I wore black canvas shoes last weekend and my feet felt like they were on fire), take breaks, go for a swim, relax. Use FP as often as you can!

Why buy the hopper plus, I don't see any "pluses" worked into your sched.

I agree, try to see all the night time shows,Illuminations,Wishes(my new fav), and Fantasmic! They are all wonderful:Pinkbounc :bounce: Also, a character breakfast is great fun!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Have to agree with and second some thoughts here:D . First of all, DEFINATELY, stop and "take time to smell the roses". I read a post by a woman who said that she likes to stop and close her eyes, in order to take in just the smells and sounds of Disney. Think I'll try this on our upcoming Nov trip. Make sure to wear worn-in, comfortable shoes (sneakers), and dress comfortably. All the restaurants you are going to will allow you to enter with shorts and T shirts, bring a sweat shirt/sweater for the night. I dont care for roller coasters, went on RnR just once, never again, but really enjoy ToT. Try to catch Off Kilter in Epcot. They are usually at an outdoor stage there, Dh and I really enjoy them. Also, if you go to the boardwalk at night try to spend some time in Jellyrolls, a real fun place. Have a great time, allow yourself to be flexible when necessary, but try to stick to the gameplan, it really helps. Karen:wave:
