:cool1: Me and my DD are heading to sunny Florida from the blustery Northeast next Saturday. What to bring to wear? I can't imagine not wearing 10 layers to avoid our below zero wind chills! I am unsure of what exactly to bring and hate hate hate to pack too much! Any advise from those of you in Florida is greatly appreciated

We are leaving next Saturday and I have no idea what to pack either. We live in Georgia and it has been cold here. I think the weather is supposed to be mild. My Dh says to just pack everything the kids own, can you tell he doesn't do the packing!!! :D I am thinking it will be pants and tshirts weather or that is what I am hoping for, maybe a light jacket in the morning or evening. Happy packing!

We leave on Friday and we're coming from the Northeast as well....it's 3 degrees where we are today!! I've been checking the weather channel and it looks like high in the mid 70's in Orlando for next weekend...we are only there for 4 days. I'm planning to travel in jeans and a short sleeved shirt with a light jacket over it in case we can't get into our room right away, at least we can enjoy the parks and will hopefully be dressed appropriately. As for what else to pack, a few pairs of shorts, another pair of jeans, a few short sleeved shirts and a few long sleeved shirts. I'm not even bothering with the sandles and capri pants....DH convinced me to pack carry-on only so we can avoid having to go to baggage claim....he has no idea how tough this is going to be :) Not sure I was much help, but just excited to escape this bitter cold weather for a few days!!

to be prepared for weather that could get as low as upper 30's/low 40's and as high at 80! It is Winter in central Florida so you never know! Maybe just 2-3 layers instead of your 10! Cold is all relative especially here in the South!!!

Have a great time!!!!!!

Everyyeardisney, we're south of Atlanta. When I plugged my dates (2/3-2/6) into the weather channel site it gives me averages of 72 for high and 48 for low. I plan on closed shoes, jeans, long sleeved shirts/cashmere sweaters(not too hot or cold) and a windbreaker and a heavier jacket. I learned my lesson last April 1, took my trusty Merrell sandals and birkenstocks, my feet almost froze! DH laughed at me but I took some of his athletic socks and wore them with the Birks! I did break down and buy some long john bottoms at Walmart, not the thermal ones but the smooth knit kind. I can't stand my legs to be cold!

1. Poncho
2. Bug Spray (even though, I never had to use it during my trip there, but better safe then sorry.)
3. Sun Block Lotion.
4. Bottled water.
5. Sunglasses.
6. Extra pair of socks (when you get wet during rides.)
7. Two pairs of walking shoes.
8. Some fall weather clothes and some spring weather clothing.
9. Extra film and video tape.

I'm sure there is more things that you should bring but I cannot think of anything at the moment.

We just returned home .. at WD Jan. 13-20 .. Pack a jacket just in case temps. in 30's at night . I hope you have better weather.

We're leaving next Saturday too and I'm having the same problem. I'm not taking any shorts because I'm not buying a tan before I go this time. Taking jeans, kahkis(sp), short sleeve tops, sweaters, Cuddle Duds, a zip up sweat shirt, tennis shoes, and some dressier flats for evenings.

I hope we have some good weather. AccuWeather.com is showing hi 60's to lower 70's for the highs and generally 50's for the evenings. Some rain possible too. Hope not.

Everyone have good trips!

I would suggest you pack a few pairs of jeans/comfy pants, t shirts and sweatshirts. Maybe even a coat. It doesn't look like it will go into the 80's, but you might want to bring a pair of shorts and a bathing suit, you never know! I'm sure I'll be posting the same question in a few weeks when I'm starting to get ready for my trip, leaving March 5th- the weather is so iffy...It's 9 degrees with a blizzard on the way here in central NJ, so anything is better than this!!!
