Oh, no... how awful for you all. Go, have fun and relax... you all need it! Here's a funny WDW/Cat story for you...
My new kitten of three weeks died while my parents were cat-sitting back in 1999 while I was in WDW. My now-husband and I had only been dating about 7 mos. and were taking our first big vacation together. My mom called crying and said the kitten had gotten sick (she was only about 10 weeks old). She took off work, took it to the vet, stood guard over the poor thing (who really didn't have a chance, we think it had feline AIDS or something) and finally died in their house. I cried buckets in WDW (it was my first pet on my own...).
So we come back from a great week in WDW, and I walk into the living room, and my dad (the stoic) has this kitten on his lap that looked EXACTLY like Mina, the one that died, except it was a little bigger and had brown eyes instead of blue. My parents felt so guilty, they went out and found a kitten that looked exactly like the old one! And they didn't tell us!! They must've looked all over town. It was SUCH an episode of "Diff'rent Strokes" (remember when Arnold's hamster died??).
By the way, THAT cat, Daily, is still alive and kickin' it. I think she just hacked a hairball upstairs...LOL!!! Anyway, it was pretty darned funny. I guess I'm lucky they even told me the kitten had died...they totally could have tried to pull a fast one on me.
