Well it started out as our annual Christmas trip 12/20-12/24 at Kidani :santa:. Well then we banked 67 points so we got to thinking why not add on 2 days Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th ? We decided to try for Jambo House since we have never stayed there and was able to get a value studio. Then Airtran released there airfare for the flight down FINALLY (we bought return flight home for 12/24 in July for $57.00 pp) it was $120.00 pp :sad2:, but if we flew out on 12/17 was only $63.00 pp so with AP discount, got a room at Pop for $54.00+tax for the night, we added on ANOTHER night :thumbsup2. Kids are excited, they have to miss last day of school before Christmas break and now get 3 extra days at the World. Confused them a bit cause they have a paper chain made that helps them keep track of how long till we leave, so they had to remove 2 links in 1 day but didn't take'm long to figure out that was a good thing. COME ON Christmas.....Shawnpirate:

That sounds wonderful! I'm always in favor of longer vacations. We also added a day, Friday night, to our December stay and it was also in a AKV value! We're there the week before you.

Last week I added 2 days to the end of my December vacation. Susan

We'll be there the week of Christmas.. we also added a day.. we're gonna stay for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well! This will be our first trip to Disney for Christmas, we'll be staying at BCV for the first time.. and we are so excited!!! My wife is counting down the days to get our ADRs in...

Have a great time!!!

Hi Disneypirate85,
Congrats on your extra days. Having more time on vacation is never a bad thing. The holidays at Disney is my favorite time. There is really no better place to be. Have a great trip and congrats on the great airfare as well. Keep counting the days and the trip will be here before you know it.

So you went from 4 days, to 6 days to 7 days?! Woohoo! That's great!

We actually do that on a lot of our trips. lol Our Christmas trip last year started as Dec 20-27. Then we decided to go down a night earlier so that we could check into SSR early that next Saturday morning. So we stayed at the Contemporary for one night, the 19th. And THEN we decided we wanted to stay the Saturday night after Christmas too, the 28th, so we used some of our Developer Points to add that night. So in the end we did one night at the Cont. then 8 at SSR, Dec 19-28, 9 nights. It was wonderful!!!! :goodvibes

Have fun planning! :)

Last year, we booked 8 nights in a BCV 1 BR over Christmas/New Year's. :woohoo:

Then I decided we would leave earlier so booked 1 night in advance at the Wilderness Lodge. :rotfl:

Then I decided one more night at the end would be nice. So we booked 1 night at the Beach Club (no Villas available by that point for that night). :lmao:

Then I decided 2 more nights would be good - after all, why be there so close to New Year's Eve, but not STAY for NYE? So we booked 2 more nights at BCV. :rotfl2:

We went from 8 nights to 12. It's a sickness.

It seems we always are adding a day or so to our Disney trips. Whether its our 4th of July trip or Christmas...lol. Were awfull, but we do LOVE our trips....I look forward to adding on at BWV just for the extra week we can hopefully work in, in our future visits, Shawnpirate:

Adding days to a vacation is a good feeling; especially as an AP holder who lives out of state.

Have a great time! :)
