I don't think I've done anything quite this impulsive for a while, we just booked a Christmas trip for December 23-26!! Staying at Grand Legacy at the Park.

Never been to the parks at Christmas (been twice around Halloween time), oh my goodness, must go read the huge Christmas thread! I KNOW it's going to be BUSY (understatement of the year lol) but we're going in knowing it will be chaos and you know what......we're good with that!

My...My... Enjoy your time in the parks!

Have fun! We did WDW during the Christmas season and the decorations are amazing! Make sure you get MaxPass to help with the crowds, it's so worth it!

Yes, it will be ridiculously busy. But, it is still manageable. All you have to do is get out of bed and take advantage of rope drop/ EMH/ Magic Morning, and you'll still be able to get a lot done. Getting up early really is the #1 secret to a successful Disneyland visit. No matter what time of year.

But, the crowds will eventually show up. And it will be chaos. But, even chaos can be fun when you're expecting it.

Yes, the early bird catches the worm! Unfortunately we won't have EMH/MM with our tickets as we are only in the parks two days and not getting park hoppers. Our plan is to do Disneyland Dec 24th and DCA Dec 25th. Dining reservations were a bit slim pickin's of course so instead of big dinners we will do big lunches lol Blue Bayou on the 24th for lunch and Carthay Circle for lunch on the 25th. And I did score a reservation for the WOC dessert party on the 25th as well :thumbsup2 Instead of turkey we'll have dessert :cheer2:

:yay:Wow good for you! Didn’t know Christmas lunch reservations are still available!

I know, I'm totally surprised! And they are both around 12:30! So it's not like we are stuck eating lunch at 11:45 or 2pm even haha

Isn't it just beyond wonderful? I can feel your excitement through my computer screen.

I'm so happy for you guys! I've been following your cruise TR and know there have been hard times recently, but I know Disney always helps me shut that down and live in a magical world, if even for a short period of time!

Oh thank you so much.

Getting back to that TR is going to be my new years resolution, hopefully things will feel a bit better by then.

So something we are doing to get through security and all that on our none MM days during our chsirtmas visit is we booked a 7am breakfast at the Plaza. We will be in the park so should be able to go ahead and get max pass going.

That's a really good idea. Unfortunately for us there are no breakfast reservations on either the 24th or 25th inside the parks before opening.

What a neat trip! I'd love to go to Disneyland for Christmas :) We were HOPING to get closer to Christmas for our upcoming trip, but it just didn't work out. Thanksgiving weekend it is .. but at least it will be "Christmas" in the parks!

That's a good plan for getting into the park ahead of the crowds, but I don't believe fastpasses are available for distribution until normal park opening. Even with Maxpass.

Yeah I've asked this question too and have gotten different responses. Some were recently able to. So we will just see! Still a good plan for getting in early I think. My kids will be up at dawn anyway!
