We Invite You to Relax as the Dining Room Proudly Presents a TR! *The End 12/24 Pg44*

Geeze! I'm sorry your Mom was annoying you about Grandkids! I know that's annoying! My Dad still pesters me to have another one! He thinks it would be wonderful if DH and I had 5! I keep telling him he's crazy and that if he wants another grandkid he has to pay to support it!

I'm glad your trip to the airport of uneventful! I know you were nervous!

Great view!! I love it! One of these days I'm going to get a picture from the road! Maybe in a few weeks!

Ahhh, your first view of the castle! I have say, starting a trip off any other way but MK doesn't feel right to me!

Can't wait for more!

OMG.....I know exactly where your room was because I went up there last year to take pictures. Best view ever!!!!!! I love that you got to see that every morning!

So funny that you were at the airport well in advance of your flight. I used to do that when you had to get to the airport to get you group assignment from southwest. that was back in the day!
It was really cool to be able to see it, unexpected too.

Oh I remember when Southwest used to do that and then everyone would sit on the floor near their group. :rotfl2:

Great start. I can't believe you see the welcome sign from your floor, that is too cool.
Thanks, it was really neat to be able to see that.

Three flat tires! I'd be a nervous wreck too.
How cool that you could see the welcome sign from your floor.
I always have to go to MK on my first day traditions and all ya know. ;) MK is Disney.
The first one we saw I was shocked and by the time I saw the third way, I was patting my dashboard cooing to our car telling her what a good car she was. :rotfl2:

Hurray you made it to Disney!!! :woohoo: I don't blame you for wanting to get the trip started as soon as possible! :yay: I would have been freaking out over all the flat tires, too! Love the view of the sign from your room! Very cool! Magic Kingdom is the perfect park to start in, and your picture of the castle made me all warm and fuzzy!!!
It's not a great picture of the castle but at least I got one as soon as we got there.

YAY you have arrived!! Glad you had no issues getting there and no ME issues!!!!

OOOH what a nice view!!! I love that you could see that sign, how awesome!!!

OOOH first MK pictures...can't wait to hear more!
I was very happy to get to the airport with no issues. :thumbsup2

My mom was big on pestering for grandkids. It started when I was about 25 and still single. My canned response was... I can get you a grandchild any time. I thought you wanted me to have a husband first!

I put in a request for the 80s. I hope we get that sign too. How fun!!

I don't think you can start a trip without going to MK first. It just isn't right!
I wish I could say that to my mom. I told her that when I wanted kids she was in no rush so she just needs to wait. Pffft.

Great start! I am glad you made it without a flat tire! And space to spread out on the plane is nice.
You and Marc both are looking so good! Lucky room you got - a refurbed room and a cool view! MK - a great way to start the vacation! :thumbsup2
Thank you! I was happy with our refurbed room, it was just nice to have a fresh room, you know?

We could see this very well when we stayed in Roger Rabbit. Isn't it cool? You just look out and imagine all the people who are driving under it cheering. :goodvibes

First peek at Main Street - what an awesome feeling!
It was really cool!

Sounds like a good start to your vacation getting the 80s room! :thumbsup2

Those pictures of you and Marc are amazing, both of you did a great job with the weight loss!! I love your pictures with the fountain, you are so pretty there! :goodvibes
Thank you so much. :goodvibes

Sounds like a great start to your trip. It's always a plus when traveling goes smoothly.
Traveling went very smoothly on the way down, it was nice.

What a relaxing way to start the vacation with the woman at ME telling you to! I thought that was so sweet. :goodvibes
It was sweet, but I was too preoccupied to listen to her. :rotfl2:

Great start!

I love POP, and what a great room you had! Awesome view!!

You and Marc look amazing!!! :) congrats! I need to kick my exercising into gear...you are an inspiration! :)
Awww, thanks. It's hard work but worth it.

So excited for you! Sounds like a great start to your trip!

FWIW We always fly out of Manchester...it is soo much easier than logan!

Have fun:thumbsup2
So much easier than Logan! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear that you got the decade you wanted at POP. The 80s is such a fun section, and it was cool to be able to see the entrance arch every day. :thumbsup2
It was a fun section to be in plus I loved the poster in the room.

It's really annoying!! Especially on my birthday!!

I have started my trip in MK, Epcot and DHS, it doesn't really matter to me but the first glimpse of the Castle is the best feeling for sure. :thumbsup2

Joining in! What a great start!

#1. The two nights we spent at my parents house before the trip made me lose my mind. Let's just say that my Mom has gotten impatient on the grandchild thing. It's annoying. I'm going to school, losing weight and trying to better my life before we have a baby. Chill. It was really annoying. Of course, a year ago when I was trying to get pregnant and couldn't...well my mom had zero interest in having grandchildren and told me I had plenty of time. Now, according to her, time is ticking.
I've only been married for about six weeks and my dad is already bugging me about this.

We almost always fly out of Manchester - it's about 40 minutes from our house. I love that airport. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about your first park night! popcorn::

So far so good! Relax and enjoy, it's your vacation. Don't you just love hearing that.

I've stayed at Pop 3 times and I had no idea it was so close to the sign. Of course I also have no sense of direction.

I do NOT know how I missed the bandwagon on this one. Oh well I'm joining in from here! I love the start of your trip and the difference in weight loss is astounding. Congrats you two!!!

I am embarassed at my high page number... I looked for it, but must have missed it! You and Mark both look amazing congrats!

I don't blame you at all for heading to MK!

YEAH....you made it safely to Mickey's House!!! WAHOO!!!! I just want you to keep going....I can't WAIT for your next update. I feel like I am literally sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what is going to happen!!!

I'm glad you made it to the airport easily - no flat tires! :woohoo: And what an amazing view!!! I had no idea the welcome sign could be seen from a resort! What a great way to start the trip. :wizard:

So glad your travel started off stress-free between the smaller airport, not full flight, short wait for ME! :thumbsup2 Hoping that the luggage turned out ok.

Great view of the welcome sign!!

Looking forward to hearing more.

I adore Manchester. Makes flying less stressful for me.

Manchester is the best! We almost always fly out of there.

I can't wait to read more.
It's really easy to fly out of there!

I did enjoy it after the fact but at the time I was stressed about our luggage finding us.

I do NOT know how I missed the bandwagon on this one. Oh well I'm joining in from here! I love the start of your trip and the difference in weight loss is astounding. Congrats you two!!!
Welcome!! Thanks on the weight loss, we have been working hard.

I am embarassed at my high page number... I looked for it, but must have missed it! You and Mark both look amazing congrats!

I don't blame you at all for heading to MK!
Don't be embarassed! You are here. I was really excited to get over to MK.

Gah! How did I miss that you started this??! I will get caught up!
Not too much to get caught up on yet!

YEAH....you made it safely to Mickey's House!!! WAHOO!!!! I just want you to keep going....I can't WAIT for your next update. I feel like I am literally sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what is going to happen!!!
I'm hoping to get another update in the next few days. We'll see, I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things this week.

I'm glad you made it to the airport easily - no flat tires! :woohoo: And what an amazing view!!! I had no idea the welcome sign could be seen from a resort! What a great way to start the trip. :wizard:
I was thrilled that we had no tire issues.

I had no idea either, it was a nice surprise.

So glad your travel started off stress-free between the smaller airport, not full flight, short wait for ME! :thumbsup2 Hoping that the luggage turned out ok.

Great view of the welcome sign!!

Looking forward to hearing more.
We had very good luck traveling down to Florida, which is always appreciated. :goodvibes

Okay, I made it over. Seriously I was relieved to see you were not yet into double digits!!! Fun first few photos! I always love hearing the excitement when people start their TRs!!! And you both look great! Bravo to you.:thumbsup2

Yay, you made it! I've never flown out of Manchester -- only Logan, and Bradley in Hartford in February. Bradley was also huge and overwhelming.

I love Pop so much. And that's so cool that you could see the arch from your floor!

The grandchild thing...I can't relate to that specifically, but my mom is making me mental by dropping hints or asking outright when DBF and I are going to get engaged b/c we've been together for 4.5 years now. She's more on that than the grandchildren thing. She did, however, ask once, "when are you getting married? I want grandkids." Talk about a double whammy. :lmao:

I highly recommend Manchester!

Oy to your Mom. That is a double whammy for sure! :rotfl2:

Hi Leslie!! I found you!! I found you!!

We last left off with our first look at the Castle.

1...2....3....4.

*SIGH*

The moment of magic when seeing the Castle.

The sky was overcast, looking like it would rain at any minute. We decided to walk up through the shops, as I wasn't happy with my Vera Bradley Mini Hipster bag, it was too small. We had brought another bag of Marc's but it was too big. Things were getting lost in there. So I went into the Emporium with the hopes of finding a fabulous park bag, I didn't have any luck.

We were hungry. We hadn't eaten much at all, so we decided to stop at Casey's for corn dog nuggets. We decided to split an order of just the corn dog nuggets, no fries or anything like that.

While I was in line, it started to rain. Just call me the rain magnet. :rotfl: I sent Marc outside to find a covered place to sit so we wouldn't get soaked. Luckily, Marc found a table. Yahoo!! We were sitting in tight quarters next to another family and one of the people decided to stand in between the tables which meant we had a lovely backside view while we ate. It was a little annoying since they kept bumping into our table but we tried to not let it bother us. I focused on the awesome piano player playing a Mary Poppins medley.

This is where I realized how slow I eat. It's pathetic. I know it's because of my lapband. I ate maybe three of the nuggets and Marc had the rest. They were so delicious! Yum Yum Yum. I was full and ready to move on. As we were getting up to leave, I notice that Marc is completely soaked in the back, he wasn't under the umbrella all the way! D'oh! It was still raining so I had pulled out my umbrella, I offered a poncho to Marc but he didn't want one. We decided to head to Pirates, there was maybe a 10 minute wait. Really not long at all. We were hoping the rain would be gone but no luck there. Marc decided to pull out the poncho afterall. We decided to head to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for fastpasses for later. I think they were good for after 8:15, and it was about 6:15ish or so at this point.

Then we headed to Liberty Square aka my favorite land in Magic Kingdom. It was still raining but you could tell the sun was trying to break through. We headed for Hall of Presidents with about 5 minutes to spare before the next show. It was the most crowded I have seen the waiting area but I'm sure that is due to the rain.

I love the new Hall of Presidents, it's really great. I became teary eyed again at the 9/11 part.

We emerged from the Hall with no rain! Yay! I was happy, I had visions of downpours our entire trip. We decided to head over to Haunted Mansion which is always a fabulous ride. When we got out the rain was still gone so we headed to Mickey's Philharmagic. I finally got good pictures of the posters!!

We had just missed the start of a show so we had a bit to wait next to an extremely annoying man who kept horsing around and bumping into me. I counted five times, then I told Marc if he bumped into me again I was going to say something. Luckily the doors opened before that happened again. I find things like that so rude. I try my best to avoid bumping into people but always apologize when I do but this man didn't care, nor did he apologize.

As always Mickey's Philharmagic put a huge smile on my face. I love this show, it has so many of the movies I loved as a kid. I always leave with a big smile on my face. We spent some time in the gift shop and then decided to head to Big Thunder to redeem our fastpasses. We took our time and moseyed along and took some pictures now that it had finally stopped raining.

Once we got over to BTMRR we were told it was shut down. Boo!! I looked at Marc and said, "I'm ready to go back to Pop now." I was tired. I knew we wanted to hit up rope drop in the morning so I knew I needed to get some sleep.

We left the park at about 8:40ish. I think we got right on a bus and decided to grab some food to bring back to the room.

Marc had the shrimp lo mein.

I had the chicken nuggets, but I didn't eat the fries.

We both had cheesecake!

We went to bed fairly early for us 10:30ish or so. We had big plans for the morning!

Coming up...
Marc breaks the rules!
