Do you find it hard to see changes in yourself? I've lost 50 lbs since my surgery in July and everybody raves over the difference. I really can't tell except for the way my clothes fit.

I barely see the changes in myself and I didn't really start to see them until 50lbs or so. Also, I only see the differences in pictures. I need to start taking the monthly pictures again, that helps me stay motivated. I'd really like to lose another 50lbs before my January trip with Jen.

Shannon, I'm sure it's because you see yourself in the mirror everyday. I would love to see a picture of you! Do you have anything recent?

I've been busy at work today and my computer has been super slow. I have started to write it though.

Time to get this Trip Report started! It's a boring first chapter, I promise it will get more interesting as we go.

Those of you who followed my PTR, know that with less than a week to go before our Disney trip....I changed our plans yet AGAIN and added three nights to the vacation.

I'm glad I did. For a number of reasons.

#1. The two nights we spent at my parents house before the trip made me lose my mind. Let's just say that my Mom has gotten impatient on the grandchild thing. It's annoying. I'm going to school, losing weight and trying to better my life before we have a baby. Chill. It was really annoying. Of course, a year ago when I was trying to get pregnant and couldn't...well my mom had zero interest in having grandchildren and told me I had plenty of time. Now, according to her, time is ticking.

#2. It took me awhile to adjust to eating in public and not at home. More on that later.

#3. It took me awhile to relax. Period. I'm a stressful person, I know this but it doesn't make it any easier for me to relax when I'm on vacation.

So by 8:30AM on Sunday September 5th, we had left my parents house for the airport. Our flight wasn't until 12:05. Yep, we were early. Way early. I was okay with that. Seeing that we passed THREE people with flat tires on the way to the airport. THREE. Do you know what that does to girl who is terrified of flat tires on the way to the airport? I had my parents on high alert though, they promised to rescue our car if we got one on the way to the airport.

We were through security and sitting at our gate by 10AM. We were actually the first Southwest Flight to Orlando that day. I thought that was pretty amazing. Sunday must be a slow flying day in Manchester.

Marc was amazed how small and easy to get around the Manchester Airport was. I love that Manchester, it's so nice and not crazy confusing like Logan in Boston. We sat at our gate, read our books, munched on breakfast (chex mix for me, dunkin donuts sausage croissant for Marc). I was worried about eating too much before the flight, my band feels tighter while I fly which is probably in my head but I don't want to get sick on the plane. I'm not a fan of airplane bathrooms.

Before we knew it, it was time to load. We were in the A boarding group and were one of the first ones on the plane. They had announced that the flight was not sold out, so Marc and I were crossing our fingers that we would get a row all to ourselves. Not making eye contact with the other passengers as they load, trying to look like we take up the whole row of seats. LOL. Luckily though, there were many empty rows of seats left so we didn't have to share with a third person. Woot! Marc took the window, I took the aisle.

The flight was uneventful. I slowly munched on the peanuts they handed out. No problems with them. I was anxious to just get to Disney so it felt like the flight took forever.

Once we landed, we headed to the bathrooms but of course. Then to Magical Express. I found my way very easily this trip, I guess 4th trip is a charm in finding Magical Express. We didn't have ME tags on our luggage, so I had to go to the desk. The lady was very nice and grandmotherly. She told me that she just needed the numbers off of our baggage claims. I offered to describe the luggage, "Oh, no need dear."

"Are you sure? I don't mind. I'm worried about the luggage getting to me."

"Oh, we do this everyday. Don't you worry, you are on vacation."

When Marc & I were waiting to get on the bus, I told him I was not very confident in our luggage finding us.

We waited about 10 minutes before we were led to our bus. It was pretty full so we found seats towards the back.

ME stopped at Caribbean Beach Resort first. That is one HUGE resort. Oh my.

Next stop...Pop Century!!

Marc waited for our carry on luggage while I went to check in. I was the first person from the bus in line and I didn't have to wait at all. We were assigned a room in the 80's section, #7434. I was excited, I wanted to stay in the 80's section.

It was a bit of a maze for us to find the 80's section. We had stayed in the 50's section before so we had never made our way over in that direction. We did find it. I didn't realize that Pop buildings were 4 floors. It was the basic Pop room, but we could tell it had been refurbished recently. The carpet was really nice. I liked that the carpet seemed fluffier.

We were in our room for only about 30 or so minutes. We changed, we laid on our beds for a bit and then decided we were too excited and wanted to go to a park.

On our way to the buses (which are pretty darn close to 80's in the grand scheme of things), we noticed that we could see the welcome sign from the floor that we were on.

We thought we would head to Magic Kingdom since that was the park with evening EMH's. Plus, who doesn't want to start vacation with a view of the castle?

AWESOME start! It looks like it was packed when you got there. I'm so glad your trip to the airport, your flight, and your ME trip were relatively uneventful and that you arrived safely! Can't wait to hear more!!

YAY! you finally made it to WDW! i've never flown out of manchester, but my boyfriend, who works for TSA at logan, told me that manchester is much smaller than logan, so i would imagine that its much easier to get through security im always a nervous wreck when it comes to my luggage too!! last year was my first time on ME and we had the luggage tags, and i didnt realize that they get the bags for you, so here i am waiting for my luggage having a mini panic attack and then i finally asked someone about it and thats when they told me i dont have to pick up my luggage...oh man, was i relieved (well i was more relieved when i actually saw my bags in the room )

I can't wait for my stay at Pop in just 2 more days! Glad you had an uneventful trip to the airport. I don't mind sitting around airports either...at least I won't miss my flight!
